26. "Hey Baby!"

Naya's POV

Round my eyes hurt so bad as I turn one more time on the pillow to glance at the clock. All through last night, I cried in my bed like a baby with no one to console it.

A frustrated sigh leaves my mouth when I realize that it's past eleven on the clock. There's ten missed calls from my Reilly and three from my boss.

I grumble as I get up from the bed and slide into my slippers.

The first thing I do is take a few tablets of Aspirin before I rush into the bathroom to have my bath.

Last night is still heavy on my mind. I never saw it coming that yesterday would end horribly for me.

It feels like time has just slowed down as cold water sprays all over my body under the shower.

Why am I even bathing? I wonder. I'm already late for work and it's not like there's some special reasons why I must be present there today.
