Ben was surprised to get Janet’s call and then felt she mustn’t be as innocent as they thought.

He informed Edwin and Edwin ordered him to call her upstairs.

Edwin was curious about what changed in a day that she was desperately waiting for him.

Or maybe she wasn’t that innocent. After all, who can resist the temptation of money?

When Janet entered Edwin’s room, Edwin was surprised looking at her haggard face.

“Why are you looking for me?” Edwin asked while removing his suit jacket and hanging it over his chair.

He rolled his sleeves, opened his muscled forearm, and sat on his chair, getting comfortable.

“You offered me some money last night,” Janet said while fidgeting with her fingers.

She was feeling ashamed, but Edwin was her only hope.

“Oh! You want money. How much?” Edwin was disappointed though he had already guessed her motive.

He opened his checkbook and wanted to get done with this.

Money didn’t matter to him.

He could offer her as much as she would want unless she forgot her
