It was 7 in the evening and Janet got a call from Ben, as expected.

“Miss Brown, a car is waiting outside your apartment. If you are ready to move, please come out.” Ben’s professional tone came from the mobile.

“I am ready,” Janet replied curtly and took her luggage to walk out, but looking at the house where she had spent so many years Janet felt emotional.

She didn’t have many memories of Robert.

When they moved out of Robert’s house, she was only seven.

She could only remember the silent crying of her mom, waiting for Robert, anticipating his visit even though it was never pleasant for them.

That was another reason Janet hated Robert so much.

They have struggled a lot during these years, yet it felt like he owed them every time Robert came here.
