When Janet knocked and entered Edwin’s office Edwin was as clueless as Janet was.

He understood Janet was avoiding him and he also didn’t want to face her, as he was clear who had initiated the previous night’s incident.

Even if he was drunk, he couldn’t blame Janet who only wanted to take care of a drunk person.
