Athena passed out due to exhaustion, she was sleeping as I sat beside her, holding her hand, making an apologetic face.

“I am sorry, I am so sorry.”

Whispering wholeheartedly, I kissed the back of her palm, mentally preparing myself for her outburst.

I complied with Azure’s words. Athena was my destiny. I believed it.

“But I cannot make my prayers go to waste. My everything is dependent on you at this point. If you ever could… do forgive me.”

My broken tone came out, pressed her hand over my forehead, closing my eyes, not knowing when I might get the chance to feel it again.

Before I could take the sensation of her warmth to my core, her hand was pulled away and a groan came.

“Aagh…”

Getting up quickly I stood before her as she woke up gradually, blinking and realizing what happened.

“Athena-”

Calling her softly, I was about to reach her side but she put her hand in between to stop me with a death-glare, indicating she was utterly furious.
