Eighty-one

MELISSA’S POV

I got home, and dropped my bag on the sofa as I headed towards the fridge to have a cold drink. I gulped it down, and exhaled, satisfyingly.

“This is so refreshing.” I said to myself as I picked up my bag, then went into my room, and hanged it in my cupboard. I went into the bathroom to wash my face, and when I got back into my room, my eyes, sighted the bag, which Robin gave to me, the day he helped me change outfit.

Then I sighed. “I think you need to return to your owner. Not sure I’m supposed to accept you.” I said as I changed my clothes, into something more comfortable, then I picked it up and headed off to his house. When I got to his house, I rang the doorbell, thrice, before he came over to the door to open it. But something was different. His lips were dry, and he looked a bit pale.

I got inside as I clutched my hands on the bag, tight.

“I came to return this to you.” I said as I handed it over to him.
