MELISSA’S POV.Even as I said my last prayers, I knew in me that I wasn’t ready to die. I shut my eyes, tight, and held my fingers, tight as my heart began to race in anxiousness.Suddenly, someone grabbed me, and it felt as if the wind was carrying me somewhere else. I was too scared to open my eyes to see what was going on, but in a few minutes, everything seemed peaceful.“Melissa, are you alright?” I heard a voice which seemed like Layla’s.Then I opened my eyes to see what was going on, and to my relief, I was in Stefan’s house. Both Layla and the man we had helped were safe, too.“Oh, my goodness.” I broke into silent tears, and covered my face.I had such a near death experience, and I was just so grateful that Stefan had come right in time, to save me.“You are safe now, Melissa.” He said as he hugged me deeply.The warmth of his hug could be likened to the one of a mother’s.
