MELISSA’S POV

I was so scared as I couldn’t remove my wristband to fight against him. Not in front of Layla, and what if I also ate Layla, up. I closed my eyes in fear, but then his hand didn’t touch me. Instead, I heard him groaning. I opened my eyes, slowly, only to find Edward, holding and twisting his hand.

“How dare you try to stab her!” he shouted in anger, and then pushed him to the wall, then collected the knife from him, and threw it away.

Edward began to beat him up, until he surrendered. That was one thing I didn’t know about Edward. I never knew that he was capable of defending himself, or anyone out there. Which means he was not only wise, but he had strength. Layla ran to me, crying hard.

“I’m so sorry. I was so scared. I thought you were going to die. I was already having thoughts of not forgiving myself if he really had his way, in killing you.” She cried out.

“It’s fine. It’s fine. It’s not your fault.” I said as I patted her.
