MELISSA'S POV

When it was closing, I didn't stay around, that much as I needed to do what I had in mind to do. Since Edward was now the CEO of Stefan's Design, I knew that it wouldn't be long before we would have to leave.

I met Diego at the entrance of the company. He had been waiting patiently for me, and I was pleased with how things were going according to plan.

"Turn off your phone." I said as I got to him

"My phone?"

"Yeah. When Stefan gets home, he'll try to reach you when he doesn't see you. You won't be able to lie to him, so turn off your phone." I said, again.

Then he brought out his phone and turned it off. And we took a cab. In about thirty minutes, we got to our destination.

"Melissa, where have you been? I've been trying to call you, and I have even gotten to your house, several times, but I have never been able to meet you." Layla said, with worry.
