Chapter 1

BRITTANY'S POV

"Wow." That was the only sound that could escape my lips as I stared at the drama unfolding right in front of me. My eyes stung as I rubbed my belly subconsciously wondering what exactly I had done wrong.

I mean if my mate would have the guts to cheat on me with some girl, whoever it is beneath him right here; then surely I must have done something.

And if I didn't do anything, then I shouldn't be blamed for staking a knife in his heart.

"Spread your legs." He commanded and she moaned salaciously while I gritted my teeth peeping from the little door hole.

"Does she satisfy you this way?" I heard the girl question and it shattered my heart the more to know that I could recognize that voice literally anywhere.

How bleak is it to see your mate and step sister who has always pretended to love me wrapped in each other's arms having the time of their life?

"She could never level up to you but of course, you already know that." My heart twisted into a knot and I didn't know when I pushed the door open and walked in while they abruptly stopped.

The fear of being caught settling on them as I took a seat and just stared at them casually, a blank expression had swept my face.

"Oh my goodness, Bri." My mate, Luian, called out panting heavily and I just raised a brow casually.

"What? Why did you stop? Am I distracting something?" I asked as I chugged down a glass of wine that they had left.

"Bri, listen. I know you're upset but I can explain?" He got off her but still remained hurdled inside of the sheets at least to cover up his naked butt.

What's wrong with men? From fiction to reality, they always tried to explain some shitty stuff when they got caught in the act. How cool do they think it is?

"Its not like I'm asking you to explain anything, Luian. I just want you to finish up what you started, after all, Ari looks horny as fuck." I squinted my eyes and nodded like I was complimenting what I just said.

"Bri, listen to me. It's not what you think." Same old, same old. This is no different from a movie actually because this is exactly what they try to say.

"Of course not, it can't be what I think. It is what I see. And what do I see? Your penis inside of her vagina. It's as simple as that." I took the wine bottle and poured another of its content inside of the cup.

My heart was breaking into a thousand pieces and I was practically using up all of my mental energy and battery to try and stay sane.

It would be so classless of me to throw a fit in front of them, that wouldn't match the personality I was building up.

"Why are you acting like it's a big deal? If you satisfied your mate in bed, he wouldn't have come to me." Ari shot and I smiled biting the insides of my mouth.

"Am I complaining? Did you hear even a single word of complaint escape my mouth or you're just trying to blabber?" I smiled and she was dumb struck for a moment before shaking her head like she was trying to shake off the guilt.

"And what do you mean by I don't satisfy him? How do you think I got pregnant and about to deliver myself of the child?" I questioned when Luian's phone suddenly began ringing.

"Pack calls." He muttered and ran into the bathroom throwing on some clothes, he was so shameless and that was irritating.

"Baby, I promise I'm going to explain. But I want you to know that she drugged me. I'm so sorry." He walked over to me and I eyed him in disdain

"I drugged you?" Ari asked and I didn't know when a small chuckle escaped my lips. They didn't even know how to back up each other in the crime that they had both committed.

One was trying to use the other an escape goat.

"Ari." He called and his phone began beeping again. I think it was a matter of urgency as he ran out of the room while I was left with Ari staring at me.

"Why?" I broke now that it was just I and my sister.

"Why would you do something like this to me? What did I ever do to you?" I asked as tears suddenly started streaming out of my eyes like they had been waiting for Luian to leave the room.

"Oh please, don't try to bring in anything of that emotional blackmail that you do. Don't make it sound like you didn't know I and Luian were an item and I was supposed to be mated to him before you stole my place." I couldn't believe the trash that was proceeding out of her mouth and shock enveloped me the more.

"Stole your place? I and Luian are mated. You never told me that you liked him or you.. were Fucking him. We were mated." I yelled so she would be able to get it into that thick skull of hers before spurting.

"And even if you're both an item, I'm pregnant for him. You're sleeping with him, what are you trying to do? Are you trying to become my step sister and a co wife?" I squealed and she stood up from the bed whilst walking towards me.

"I'm sorry, Bri. I didn't know what came over me, I must have been stupid or something." Her entire demeanour had changed and she was wailing as she walked closer to me.

"Don't come any closer. You absolutely disgust me right now." I yelled and she stepped forward closing in the gap that was between the both of us.

"I'll exile myself if you want, just please, forgive me sister." She leaned and I gasped as horror filled my face when I realized that she had stabbed me with a knife.

"Ari, what are you doing?" I gasped with eyes widened as she let go of me gently and pushed me to the floor.

"Forgive me sister, but you do not deserve him. I'd rather that you be dead than for you to give birth and claim his heart completely." Blood was gushing out of my belly and it screamed pain all over.

"You stabbed me?" I questioned in shock as it was hard for my brain to register what was going on, the knife was still in me and I stared in horror while placing my hand on the knife.

"Yes, that's what I did." She nodded and smiled in a sadistic way.

She came closer and twisted the knife inside of my belly before drawing it out and I screamed but she immediately pressed a cloth over my mouth.

"Why?...why..would..you." I couldn't bring my words together as it felt like blood would begin to gush out of my mouth.

"You knew I loved him and you went ahead to mate with him, I think this is a fair game. And as you close your eyes in death, all I have to do is walk out of the room and place the knife in your hands. You killed yourself." She smiled and Luian walked into the room.

"Is it done?" He asked wrapping is arms around her while I stared in horror. He was in on it.

The entire room was just a blur of hazy darkness.

"This isn't over yet." I yelled at them as my eyes closed in death.

"Take my spirit and give me peace." I murmured taking my last breath.
