Visiting My Parents

Olivia's POV

"Do you want to talk about it," Vera asked as she walked me to the couch.

"No, I just want to forget something like that ever happened," I said and Vera just nodded.

"I just found out that your brother is back home," Vera announced and my eyes lit with joy.

I missed my brother so much. He left the country after my twentieth birthday for a mission. He had joined the army and it was his first peacekeeping mission. I was glad to hear he was back. I just couldn't wait to see Austin, again. He was two years older than me but we were very close since it was just the two of us growing up.

"That is amazing," I said excitedly.

"What time would you like us to leave tomorrow," Vera asked me.

"Afternoon will be fine," I replied. "Do you think I should pack a small bag?" I asked Vera.

"Don't tell me, you took all your clothes out of your parent's home three years ago," Vera said.

"I didn't but knowing my father. He could have them burned out of anger," I said sadly.
