Chapter 83

Conrad's POV

When Atasha went home I stayed outside the operating room praying for Veronica's successful operation.

Hours feel like days and during those times I am being embraced by fear.

When Sebastian finally stepped out of the operating room I immediately stood up to talk to him.

"How is she?" I immediately asked.

Sebastian removed his mask then tapped my shoulder and smiled at me.

"The operation is successful Conrad," he said.

I hugged him quickly when I heard those words.

The heaviness in my chest was lifted and I felt like I was freed from fear.

"She will be transferred to her room. We still have to monitor her," he said then tapped my shoulder once again before leaving.

Sebastian looks mad at me when I first saw him but I can say that he is a good doctor. He doesn't involve his personal life to work and he treats everyone equally.

After a while, Veronica was transferred to her room as Sebastian told me.
