Chapter 84

Atasha's POV

Upon leaving the hospital I headed straight home.

Something seems off with Conrad but I don't have any courage to ask because I might just be overthinking things.

After an hour of driving, I arrived at my father's house.

Upon stepping inside the house it was extremely quiet.

"Dad!" I called but no one answered so I started searching every room and that is when I realized they aren't home so I headed to the park and there I saw my father sitting on a swing while watching the twins playing with other kids.

I walked towards my father and occupied the swing beside him.

"You are back early," he said.

I simply smiled at him and then nod my head.

"The kids might be looking for me," I said then focused my attention on the kids.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

I looked at him once again then nod my head.

"Of course," I responded.

My father looked at my face intently then let out a deep breath as if he is worried or something.

"I want to see you smile again," he said which made me smile.
