Chapter 87

Conrad's POV

A week had passed and Veronica was discharged from the hospital.

Her doctors allowed her to stay at home as long as she will take all the prescribed medicines and she won't force herself to work.

Veronica and I agreed that she would stay in my unit while she recovers.

She needs someone to take care of her since her body is too weak to do any kind of work.

"I will get your bed ready," I said then assisted her in sitting on the couch.

I headed towards her room and then changed her bed sheet and pillowcases. When I am sure that her room is clean I stepped out and then walked towards the living room where I left her.

"Your room is clean. You should take a rest while I prepare our lunch," I said.

Veronica smiled and then nodded her head.

I held her waist and supported her body on standing up.

We walked towards her room and when we finally reached it I helped Veronica in lying on her bed.

"Take a rest," I reminded her and she nod her head like an obedient little kid.
