Chapter 10 The journey

Abeer left for India with his mother before a week to Shivratri, as he has to clear many things about adhya to his family.

When they reached Shimla,gauri was the only one who was present to welcome them in the Shekhawat mansion as rudra was in Singapore on a business trip, and will be back before a day or two to Shivratri.

Abeer got disappointed with rudra's absence as he want to have a heart to heart talk with his brother. But now he has to wait for rudra's return.

On the other hand in London adhya 's family started their preparations for the journey. Ashish and devrat already discussed that if everything went well they will at least do an engagement to make this relationship official.

The day arrived when rudra came back from his trip late at night. The next day, rudra touched his chachi's feet for blessing and hugged Abeer who bent to touch his bhai's feet. After exchanging greetings they all got settled for breakfast.

S group is going to start their first project in Singapore and rudra was busy with that project for two months ., after breakfast, he went to his study for some important office work.

Rudra was sitting in the study, going through some files before leaving for the office. Abeer entered the study and stood in front of him, Rudra already knows what he is going to talk about ., and he was surprised to see the nervousness on abeer's face.

" So how is the work going "

"Good bhai "

"Hmm, so when is the khurrana family arriving in Shimla ".

' Ji tomorrow '

"Ok, I have made their arrangement in the hotel as they are just paying us a visit nothing is fixed yet, so I can not make them stay at our place ."

"It's ok bhai,.....voh bhai .. "

"Hmm "

"I want to talk to you "

" yes "

" Bhai adhya is a very nice girl, independent, mature and friendly nature. He respects elders bhai, she is a gem and I don't want to lose her. I love her bhai ."

Rudra was just observing abeer that how much his brother is trying to convince him for adhya.

" We will see that abeer, now if you have done with your talk so I think I should leave ."Rudra left the study taking long strides.

Rudra was not a man who believe in others' opinions he always judges people by himself.,abeer knows his brother but he was confident that rudra will never hurt him in any way.

During the flight, drishti tried to give some brain to her naive daughter.

" What do you think about rudra? "

"Mom why should I think about him ?"

"No I mean dont you find it weird that the elders took permission for him why is that man so important to them ."

"Mom I am warning you dont you use this kind of words in front of any family members of shekhawats. I just know that rudra Singh Shekhawat has earned respect with his selfless deeds. And most importantly abeer loves him a lot. So please I request to you to keep your holy thoughts to yourself "

drishti wanted to laugh out at her stupid girl but she composed herself and tried in another way.

"See beta you are taking me wrong I am just worried for you . You know I mean if this alliance got fixed ."...

Adhya glared at drishti.

"No ...no mean it is going to fix I am sure of that and I have no problem with abeer but are you okay if every decision of your life will be taken with the permission of rudra "

"See you are too innocent, but I must tell you that whoever has the authority over money and business will always dominate in family matters.

what if rudra will dominate your and abeer's relationship than how will you manage dear.

After hearing her mother, Adhya's mind doubted rudra's true intentions. Her mother's words were successful in making a great impact on adhya's naive mind.

Devrat who was just sitting behind them understood that drishti started playing mind games with her granddaughter .. he was still hoping that Adhya would not believe her mother.

When they reached Chandigarh, four expensive cars and two SUVs with guards were waiting for them. Abeer greeted the elders and had them settled in their respective cars. As it was already evening when they landed in Chandigarh and it will take 3 hours to reach Shimla by car the very next day they are going to Kasauli where the puja was organised.

Adhya So much wanted to hug abeer as she missed him, but remembering her dadu's advice she kept it for later. The love birds only greeted each other. After some hours they all reached Shimla. They all reached the booked hotel, where the best suits were booked for them.

Drishti was overwhelmed to see how rich is Shekhawat family, which means at the airport when she saw the security guards, Mercedes and Audi cars waiting for them she understood that garima was not bragging that day she was stating the truth only .shekhawat's are rich like Richy rich people.

She cursed herself for playing with adhya's brain she make a mental note that she will convince adhya to forget about what she said before and just focus on abeer.

Dr Ashish Khurrana was impressed to see the suite too. But he also wants to pay for their hotel expenses which he was sure will be over the budget for him but still, he asked abeer.

"Beta why did you take the trouble I mean I should have booked a hotel for my family, "Ashish asked politely.

"No uncle I didnt do this, all these arrangements were done by rudra bhaiya ". Khurrana family was surprised to know this new information.

"Oh then I must thank him please convey my thank you to him but I will stay here only on one condition "

" What condition" abeer asked Ashish.

" I will pay for this hotel bill "

" No uncle its not needed as it is one of our hotels only so "

"See how mature he is, "drishti again started her foolish behaviour.

"Drishti beta they are saying this because we Indians believe in' Atithi Devo bahav' means guests are like god.

But we are here for our daughter's alliance so I think Ashish is doing the right thing ."

" ok as you say papa Ji " drishti replied sweetly because she doesn't want abeer to doubt her values, so she acted like a good daughter in law

" Uncle let me talk with bhai because he will be annoyed if he comes to know about this ."

Abir went out of the room to talk with rudra but this action of his made the doubt in their mind of adhya became strong.

Ashish stopped abeer in between and ask politely.

"If you dont mind I want to talk to him"

"Yes sure uncle "

"Bhai Khurana's uncle wants to talk to you'"

'Good evening mr shekawat "

" Good evening mr khurrana"

"Thank you for making such a nice arrangement for our stay but I will pay for these hotel charges "

" That does not need mr khurrana as you are our gues, and overall the hotel is one of our properties".

"No mr Shekhawat I am here for my daughter's alliance so it's not suitable to stay here without paying any charges .please it's a request mr Shekhawat I hope you understand my situation ."

After a minute of silence, rudra answered

' Ok if you insist I will order the manager to send the bill to you, I hope now its fine to stay at my hotel "

"Yes for sure, thank you for considering my request "

" See you tomorrow mr khurrana good night "

" Goodnight mr Shekhawat ".

Saying this Ashish cut the call and gave it to abeer.

"I am really glad that he agreed " Ashish stated in a relieved tone.

"As you wish uncle but trust me it was not necessary "

" It was beta, it was". Devrat stated lovingly to abeer.

' So I take your leave, I know you all must be tired from the long journey, so take rest as tomorrow morning we have to leave for Kasauli"

"How far is it?"

" Uncle hardly 2 hours "

" So I will pick you all up at 8 am is that fine,"

" What is the time for puja, I mean .."

Drishti asked hesitantly.

"Aunty, it will start at 7 am, bhai and badima will be leaving tonight only, but I and maa will accompany you all .so see you tomorrow. Goodnight ."

Everybody wish him back and he left from there.

The whole night adhya was thinking about abeer's behaviour, as he only wished for her and rudra's authority over everything.
