Chapter 16 The engagement part1

The seven-star hotel of Shekhawat group was decorated marvellously. The relatives who were already been jealous of the Shekhawat family were more upset looking at the arrangements of engagement.

From the decoration to the buffet everything is looking exquisite, and why not rudra himself has been checking the arrangements for his chote 's special day

The relatives greeted the Shekhawat s with a smile and a burning heart inside. Everybody is just pretending that they are happy for abeer but the reality of the situation was the exact opposite of it.

Some of them were frustrated as they were just waiting for a chance to pin out some mistakes in this engagement but rudra doesn't give them a single chance till now.

The other Shekhawat family arrived.

Rajdeep and rishab 's first cousin Rakesh Shekhawat with his son Veer Shekhawat arrived with their family Rakesh's father was the real brother of Rajdeep and rishab's father and a drug addict too. Because of his addiction, he was not able to fulfil his responsibilities as the elder son of the family so the younger son become the only hope of the Shekhawat family

Rudra's grandfather and his brother got an equal share in the property. Rudra's grandfather was an intelligent and family-oriented man with good business skills. So it was obvious that he reached great heights of success in his business with the help of his sons Rajdeep and rishab ., who also followed in their father's footsteps. At present rudra and Abeer are doing the same thing.

While the other Shekhawat family suffered a lot, Rakesh's father died because of an overdose of drugs, just after some time after Rishab and Rajdeep's accident. Rakesh had already become a spoiled brat at that time so he couldn't manage the business so well. All their properties were under debt or merged into banks. And their third generation veer Shekhawat was doing nothing different from his father and grandfather. This family only knows how to live in a bubble.

Rakesh's family loathes rudra Singh Shekhawat the most, after Rajdeep's and rishab 's demise. Nobody expected that a 22 yr old boy can give them so much competition in business. Rudra was standing like a wall in front of his family for the last 15 years. Rakesh Shekhawat tried every way possible to somehow ruin their image but nothing worked as rudra was more clever than what they assumed.

Rudra Singh Shekhawat was not a man to mess with ., the biggest strength is his family and at the same time his weakness also.

Rudra touched Rakesh Shekhawat's feet for blessings, who hugged him in return. Veer touched Rudra's feet for blessings, and rudra shook his hand with him.

" So congrats rudra, Rajdeep and Rishab bhaiya must be feeling so proud of you. "

"Thank you " rudra never like this extended family but for his mother's request, he has to bear them.

" But who is the lucky girl, I hope she belonged to our status ."

"Adhya Khurrana, and of course her family belonged to our status only As they are equally rich in values and beliefs "

"And what about money," Rakesh asked raising one eyebrow at him.

" Hmm you know uncle, our family is rich enough to take care of our needs .and we are not beggars to ask for money or gifts in the name of dowry, so I didn't check for others' money as for me values are more important than money. Adhya is an independent and traditional girl, who believes in family, which makes her my abeer's wife.

Rudra left from there throwing a last glance at Rakesh and veering Shekhawat

Kalyani, Rakesh's wife was fuming in anger at his husband's insult. She want to scold rudra, but Rakesh stopped her as it was of no use. He doesn't want to be in the bad books of rudra.

gauri and Gayatri greeted them, Rakesh and Kalyani touched Gauri's feet as Rishab was older than Rakesh. Garima also touched the couple's feet. Veer took their blessings too.

" Bhabhi sa badhai apko, at least you got one daughter in law. we are very happy about your happiness".Kalyani started her venom talks.

Gauri noticed what she meant by one daughter at law at least, she was taunting rudra.

" Yes, Kalyani I am so glad that Abeer found a gem for us. "

Stating this gauri and garima excused themselves.

Everybody was impatient to meet Adhya, to see what the Shekhawats are praising.

Abeer met all the family members and waited impatiently for his love to arrive. Sameer was standing beside him enjoying his restlessness.

Suddenly the lights of the hall got dimmed and the focus of the light was on the entrance where Adhya was standing holding her dad's hand,drishti and Ashish were standing beside them.

A loud gasp was heard from the crowd as nobody expected Adhya to be so beautiful. Cladded in lehenga with a designer blouse she was looking like a princess. Rudra,garima and gauri gave a proud smiles to each other.

Gauri and garima took Abeer to the stage, and Adhya started coming towards the stage with a shy smile on her face.

Abeer was not even able to blink his eyes, he was staring at his fiancee with so much love. Sameer murmured in his ear.

" Sundar hai na "( she is pretty, right )

" Haan bohot "( yes very much ) Abeer muttered in a lost condition

Sameer laughed at Abeer, his laugh bring Abeer down to earth. He started looking here and there in embarrassment.

" Stop it abeer, my boy see she even started melting by your hot gaze and elders are also here, especially rudra so please control your hormones .'"

Abeer hummed in response. Till Adhya started climbing the stage, Abeer offer his hand to help her in climbing the last stair. Everybody hooted at this, the couple got settled beside each other on the couch.

Garima and gauri started the ritual with Adhya. First applied roli on her forehead then they placed a red stole ( chunni. ) On her head. A velvet stole she kept on her lap in which dry fruits, gifts and cash were gifted by gauri and garima.

The same ritual was started with abeer by drishti and Ashish. They gave him clothes, cash, a platinum chain and sweets.

The priest announced the auspicious time for exchanging rings. First Adhya slides the ring onto abeer's finger then Abeer holds her hand and slides the ring onto her ring finger.

A loud round of applause was heard in the hall with lots of hootings by the youngsters.

Abeer and Adhya took the blessings of all the family members. The photographer started the photoshoot of the couple in which the faces of the couple were beaming with happiness.

Looking at the couple gauri and garima hugged rudra with moist eyes ., Rudra was emotional too as he was able to fulfil his family's dream.

Looking at abeer's happiness rudra was feeling calm, as he made the right decision. The night when he got to know about abeer's affair he was very furious and even ready to kill adhya for his family's peace.

But after meeting adhya and her family, he understood that the family isn't as bad as he was expecting. And about adhya, he saw true love in her eyes for abeer whereas abeer was smitten by her. Without more thought, he agreed to this alliance and now seeing the happy couple on the stage receiving best wishes from the guests he was not regretting his decision.

Rakesh Shekhawat with his family also reached on stage to bless the couple.

Abeer introduced Adhya to them they both took the blessings from them.

The moment veer Shekhawat saw adhya he was lost in her beauty, he was more jealous of Abeer for getting such a beautiful wife. Abeer was elder to veer about a year.

Abeer introduced Adhya to veer too ., Adhya nodded at him to which he gave creepy smile. Adhya was feeling disgusted under his creepy gaze.

"I must say bhai you are very lucky to get such a beautiful wife ."

Abeer doesn't like his comment but he just smiled at him.

Veer forwarded his hand for a handshake but Adhya doesn't want that, and veer was willing to touch her in that way at least.

A loud voice boomed behind veer

"Adhya is bhabhi sa to you, touch her feet veer, do you forget our culture haan. "

Rudra started giving veer a cold glare, veer shuddered in fear of rudra.

" Ji .... Ji bhaisa "

He just touched her feet quickly as rudra was noticing his every move. Adhya was taken aback watching such authority of rudra in this family. She noticed very well how to veer',s parents were feeling insulted at rudra's comment on veer but they didn't dare to speak a word against rudra.

After they left the stage, Sameer invited the couple to dance.

Abhaya and Abeer were dancing like a fairy tale couple, Abeer was feeling very fortunate to get Adhya as his life partner. Same way Adhya still did not believe that her dream has come true. Now she is officially engaged to her love. Both were lost in each other's eyes they even didn't realise that when the song got ended and they were dancing without any music. Sameer genuinely smiled at their condition and started applause,, the guests join Sameer. The loud round of applause broke the trance of the couple when they realised what blunder they did. Adhya hide her face in abeer's chest, who was holding her by the waist.

After the couple dance, Sameer invited the guests for a couple of dances, Abeer and Adhya, Ashish and drishti,rudra and gauri, and Sameer with garima. All the couple's joined the stage

Adhya was shocked to watch rudra dancing like a pro as she thought that rudra doesn't know anything else except business and his worship of God. In hof opinion he is a Saint type of man ., but what astonished her more was his perfect dance moves as he is a trained dancer.

"Abeer chuckled at adhya's expression so he whispered near her ear " shut your mouth baby as my brother is a multitalented man. And yes he is a trained dancer too. You know in his college days he used to be the heartthrob of the many girls and he used to have lots of flings but he changed .."

"It's ok I Understand, but how surprising it is that a person can change much in his one much only"Adhya said in an understanding tone.

"Yes! like adhya khurrana become decent and quiet girl right ."

Adhya stomped on his foot deliberately to punish him .for his teasing.

" Ouch it hurts love "

"Then stop teasing me!"

"Can I have a dance with this beautiful girl," sameer asked Forwarded hand to adhya, and abeer lovingly gave her hand to sameer.

Adhya smiled at Sameer, as she liked sameer, he is a fun-loving person with a great sense of humour .sameer started cracking jokes about rudra on which adhya was giggling. After some minutes Sameer spotted Vicky Jaiswal the famous casanova of Shimla coming toward them and understood that Vicky is going to ask adhya for dance, and rudra will never lie.

So he start searching for rudra who was dancing with garima and abeer with gauri. When his eyes met rudra's he signalled him at Vicky. Rudra's eyes turned red he glanced at Abeer who was busy dancing with gauri.

I signalled Samee with eyes at which Sameer nodded as he understood what they have to do. Sameer spun adhya and rude spin garima at the same time and they change their partners.

Garima giggled at Sameer who smiled at her while Adhya's breath got hitched sweat appeared on her forehead as she was in the arms of Hitler aka rudra Singh Shekhawat.
