Chapter 61 A Visit To The Cliff

Ava's Pov

We walked up the hill, the wind picking up slightly as we got closer to the cliffside. Richard kept asking where we were going, his voice tinged with confusion and concern.

“Where are we headed, exactly? What’s up here?” he asked for the third time, his hand still holding mine firmly.

“Just trust me, Richard,” I replied, trying to keep my voice steady. “Please, just follow me.”

He sighed, clearly frustrated, but didn’t say anything more. I could feel his eyes on me, watching for any sign of what I was thinking or planning. But I couldn’t bring myself to explain, not yet. I needed to see it again. I needed to face it.

Finally, we reached the top, and there it was—the cliffside. The place where it all ended, where I had fallen to my death in my previous life. The memories came rushing back so suddenly and so vividly that it took my breath away.

I could see it all—my step-sister, the betrayal, the push, the terrifying freefall into nothingness. It was too much. I collapse
