Chapter 25

Rose's POV

I tried to scream, to protest, but my voice was silenced by the hiss of gas being pumped into the mask covering my face. I felt myself slipping away, the darkness consuming me.

When I woke up again, it was daybreak and I was covered in sweat, and my heart was pounding in my chest. I looked around and saw myself in my room, and then I realized it was just a nightmare, but the fear it had instilled in me was all too real.

I knew that my father and Luke wouldn't hesitate to abort my pregnancy if Luke and the pack found out. And if my mother couldn't convince them otherwise, I didn't know what I would do.

I sat up in bed, my mind racing with worry. I needed to find a way to keep my pregnancy a secret, at least until I figured out a plan. But how? Although the pack was huge, secrets didn't stay hidden for long unless it's under the command of the Alpha.
