Chapter 29

Rose's POV

As I cried harder, asking her what to do, my mother hugged me tightly and whispered soothing words in my ear, "It's okay, my dear. You don't have to make any decisions right now. We will figure this out together. I will speak to your father."

Her words provided me with a sense of relief and comfort, and I held onto her tightly. I didn't want her to leave, but I knew she had to go meet my father and try to reason with him.

As my mother left, she promised to come back with a solution and urged me to rest and take care of myself. I lay in bed, trying to process everything that had happened. My mind was a whirlwind of emotions, fear, and confusion.

I wondered what my father would do if I refused to abort the baby. Would he really cast me out of the pack? I didn't know what kind of life I would have outside of it, and the thought of losing everything I had ever known was terrifying.
