There were all sorts of supplements and snacks piled outside the room.

Timothy walked into the hospital room and placed the food he'd brought on the coffee table.

When he saw how Lucas lay in bed like a mummy, he couldn't help laughing. "My, is this really the almighty scion of the Yates family? Are you sure it's not a recently unearthed mummy?"

Lucas glared at him. It was too bad he couldn't move at the moment. Otherwise, he would've given Timothy a punch. The latter had to have come to stir up trouble.

Chelsey suppressed her laughter and said, "I think he looks like a mummy, too. I just didn't have the nerve to say anything."

She was afraid it would hurt Lucas' ego. When Timothy saw how haggard she looked, his heart ached. He asked gently, "You didn't get enough sleep last night, huh?"

"Yeah, I couldn't fall asleep." She rubbed her eyes, trying to wake herself up. She smiled at Timothy, but her eyes were still full of fatigue.
