Chapter 75

Chelsey could tell it was Shannon's voice.

She straightened up with a slight frown as she said, "Shannon's here."

"Yeah." Lucas didn't want to see Shannon, but she'd already barged into the room.

When she saw Lucas lying in bed, swathed in bandages, tears streamed down her face.

"Luke, how did you injure yourself so badly? How do you expect me to live if anything were to happen to you?"

She threw herself at Lucas as her wails reverberated around the room.

Chelsey stood to one side and watched her coldly.

After bawling her eyes out for a while, Shannon wiped her tears elegantly and said to Chelsey, "Thanks for taking care of Luke. Now that I'm here, you can go. After all, you two are divorced, and I'm his girlfriend. I'll take over from here."

Shannon's appearance suddenly reminded Chelsey that she and Lucas were already divorced.

Lucas looked at Shannon and said calmly, "The urine bag should be full by now. You should go empty it."

He couldn't get out of bed, so he had to
