Chelsey had cared for Lucas for three whole years without him ever complimenting her.

He even thought she'd only done what she was supposed to since she'd taken money from them. Now, though, he was starting to sing her praises.

Once again, she couldn't help thinking of him as a changed man.

She felt bittersweet as she said, "I'm not a god or anything. I can't make you recover with a few simple massages. It's the doctors' treatments that worked out. I only helped a little."

"No, I think your massages were the key." Lucas transformed into the ultimate clingy husband; he refused to let go of her hand.

As a creative type, Chelsey's hands were smooth and supple. Her fingers were slender and so delicate that they seemed to have been carved from the finest marble. Yet these hands had cared for him for three years.
