Chapter 73

In the past, Chelsey wouldn't even have dared to dream about Lucas cooking for her.

He was a bit of a male chauvinist; he didn't think men belonged in the kitchen. In his mind, men should either be suited up in boardrooms or donning military garb and charging on the battlefield.

Aprons weren't meant for men. But when Lucas saw how happy Chelsey looked eating Timothy's cooking, he found himself wanting to cook for her.

He supposed it wouldn't be too bad for him to put an apron on every now and then.

Besides, he was a lot more considerate now. He could fill Chelsey's plate with food, too.

Chelsey couldn't help giggling when she saw Lucas getting jealous. "Sure, I'll wait for you to cook for me when you've recovered. Don't let me down, alright?"

"I won't!" he said, looking serious.

Timothy's expression hardened at what a suck-up Lucas was now being when he used to be such a bully toward Chelsey.

He said to Chelsey, "You said you wanted to go to Vegviser Mountain with me, right?
