Scribbling Poetry

That night after her meeting with Nazril and telling him everything that had been bothering her, Raisa was quite happy. She didn't have such a heavy burden in her life. Even now, she followed her loneliness without a husband at home.

"It feels so good when Arka's not around. I'm sick of seeing her all this time, pretending to be a loving wife and child, but the reality is so far different," Raisa murmured softly. She was afraid of disturbing her daughter's sleep and Aunt Iyem's. That night Aunt Iyem decided to stay longer with Raisa, until it was time for Arka to return.

"Thank you for your help. I owe you a lot," Raisa said quietly as she looked at Aunt Iyem's sleeping face.

Raisa smiled slightly, as if she felt the presence of her parents again.

"Maybe you wouldn't let your daughter feel this sad, if you knew the truth," Raisa murmured, lamenting her fate of being a single mother, with only one daughter. The husband she wanted was even cheating on her with their next-door neighbor.
