Nightmares

Raisa jumped in shock, she sat up and found Arka no longer beside her. Her daughter Anya was still fast asleep.

“Oh my God! Did I just have a dream?” Raisa wondered. She wiped the sweat from her temples. Her vision was still blurry and dull. She had not slept well last night.

“Why did the dream feel vivid. But I think it's a reaction to my broken home life,” Raisa muttered in self-pity.

She recalled a dream about her husband's infidelity. Just like the one experienced by Raisa's household lately.

“It's like it's real. But this is very real.” Raisa said with a troubled face. Again she was stunned looking at her beautiful daughter.

She no longer cared about Arka. Looking out the window, she found Arka on the front porch.

“What is Arka doing? Is she waiting for the wet cake?” Raisa thought to herself. Raisa only monitored Arka's movements from inside the house. Sure enough, from inside the house Raisa saw the wet cake seller stop and Arka immediately approached.
