Chapter 41-Return

When Stella returned to her former husband’s home, it was quiet. Marimar was not there either, which she wondered about. The old man was in the living room and seemed to have been waiting for her.

“Grandpa, why are you here in the living room? Have you had dinner?”

“I’m done, hija, but Charles hasn’t yet.”

Stella turns to the nurse and looks at her questioningly.

“Sir Charles has been getting drunk for a while now and doesn’t want to be disturbed,” Rhea explained.

Stella frowned and wondered why the young man suddenly got drunk. But when she remembered Elizabeth, she shook her head. “Perhaps he is hurt by the act of breaking up with Elizabeth, so he drinks.”

Ramon quickly shook his head as well because the girl was thinking wrong. “I think you’re understanding it wrong, hija. I’ll go see him first, and maybe he’s had too much to drink.”

Stella quickly stopped the rolling of the wheelchair that the old man was sitting on. “Let me do it, grandpa. You go and get some rest, and we ha
