ELYSIA'S POVWith utmost satisfaction, I watched the once powerful Serafina who had haunted my dreams for the past few days crumble and turn into complete dust. The look in her eyes when she looked up at me as her body finally gave way was satisfying, I had been longing to see that look in her eyes for a very long time, all the times she had haunted me and I had looked up at her so powerlessly, I had wished that one day, I would get the chance to feel this satisfaction of seeing her crumble.I raised my hand after she turned into complete dust and life began to return to the pack. Everything Serafina had destroyed within her short stay in the palace was gradually restored and began to return to normal. It was as if a total transformation was going on in the pack and because the entity that brought about this reformation resided in me, I could not help but feel like I was in the centre of it all.Even Finnegan who had earlier turned to dust came back to life and returned to being norma
ASHER'S POVI was furious when one of the guards suggested that I take the car because I wanted to get Elysia to the hospital as soon as possible before she went completely cold. But I realized that taking her there on food would be detrimental to her and probably wear her out more so I immediately agreed and let the guard drive us.I carefully made Elysia's head on my thigh so I could look into her face all through the drive to the hospital. She didn't look to be in a good state, the bleeding was not stopping and her body was getting colder. It was more frustrating to me that I could not do anything to save her.To say I was overwhelmed with everything that was you on would have been an understatement, my mind was absolutely in total chaos. Especially when Elysia's eyes started to flutter close despite everything I did to keep her awake."Elysia," I called aggressively and started to shake her violently but nothing was working. It looked like the more I tried to shake her awake, the
ASHER'S POVMy heart pumped out of curiosity and I rushed towards the doctor who came out of the operating room. I tried to guess what the situation was like by evaluating the looks on the faces of the doctors but they all had blank looks on their faces. They always had that blank look on their faces whenever they delivered even bad news or good news. I began to wonder if they were trained specially to keep their faces like that when talking to patients."How was it?" I asked desperately, "Was it successful? How is she?""Cut the suspense and just tell me how Elysia is," I screamed when I didn't get any response from them immediately."Calm down," the doctor tried to assure me. "Everything is under control, the operation was successful.""What could be the cause of the breakdown?" I asked the doctor curiously."I think her display of power earlier kind of took a toll on her health since it did much to strain her body and overwork her organs. But we were able to stabilize her, we were
ELYSIA'S POVI must have gotten lost admiring the extraordinarily beautiful woman in front of me that I did not realize that I had no idea where I was, neither did I realize what was going on.The moon goddess must have read the confusion on my face, she gave me a warm smile to reassure me.Even though I didn't know what was going on yet, her smile was enough to reassure me that I was safe."I understand that you must be confused as to where you are and what happened back there on the battlefield, I'm going to explain everything to you in a short while."Her velvety voice flowed so effortlessly as she spoke like she didn't have to put any effort into speaking and being elegant while at it. Her eyes sparkled as she spoke to me. There was something about this woman that would make anyone want to bow to her and worship her.I had always prayed to the Luna goddess even as a child, but I had never tried to imagine what she looked like, even if I did, there was no way I could have imagined
ELYSIA'S POVI tried to recall the exact words the moon goddess had said to me in the trance-like state before she disappeared and the light went off."She said she hoped she would be able to see my son." I spelt out the words as I recalled them in my head while picturing the face of the beautiful moon goddess and the beautiful smile that was plastered on her face when she spoke to me.Asher's brows were raised, he looked equally as taken aback as I was when I first heard it."She probably meant that we are going to have a son," Asher said and placed a hand on my stomach, he seemed to be in deep thoughts. "And she looks forward to seeing him. What do you think?"I reluctantly nodded my head even though I was not yet satisfied with the explanation.I guess that should be the least of my worries for now. I thought I should just concentrate on celebrating our victory over Serafina and all the troubles she had ever posed in the pack since her arrival. Finally, peace had been restored in A
ASHER'S POVIt all seemed like a dream to me, a good one. Actually, it seemed like a dream that was too good to be true.It was difficult for me to be able to contain all of these at once, the emotions ran so high that I had to leave the room because it was already starting to get suffocating in there.I rushed out, trying to catch my breath, I could not help but wonder if I was being pranked.Outside, I walked into Nikolai who was hurrying over to the hospital, because I wasn't looking where I was going, I almost bumped into him."Is everything okay?" He asked as he studied me with his brows raised."Yes," I said, staring into space absentmindedly. "Everything is okay, so okay that I almost think I'm dreaming, only that this dream, I don't want to wake up from it.""You are speaking in parables," Nikolai said, confused. "I actually came running here when I heard Elysia was awake. How is she doing?""They managed to stabilize her. But there is something else. It feels like a miracle j
ASHER'S POVIn the middle of the night when the hospital was extremely quiet and everyone had gone to sleep including Elysia who was fast asleep in my arms, I decided to use that opportunity to sneak out of the room and go to the altar which was just behind the hospital.Because of easy access to the moon goddess and so that the pack members would be able to access and pray to her whenever they felt the need to, altars were placed in strategic corners of the pack, including the one which was placed behind the hospital.I thought that would have been the best thing I did in my pack, especially now that I needed to pray to her and offer a sacrifice to thank her for saving us and also bringing back I and Elysia's child.I did a blood sacrifice for the goddess and went down on my knees with my face bowed to thank her for bringing back my child. I wished there was a way I could convey my thankfulness and relay to her how happy I was about her good deeds. I could not help but hope that the
ELYSIA'S POVI asked Asher why there was so much company when we were just going shopping."Because I want you to have as much help as you can get, we don't want to take any chances," Asher said.Asher's driver took the wheel while Asher stayed with me at the back. All through the drive, he kept being overprotective of me. Occasionally, he would turn and ask if I was okay. Whenever we met a gallop, he would take me in his arms and hold my stomach, he would run it occasionally to make sure I was okay.We arrived at the store where we were to shop for paints to paint the nursery. While the guards were asked to stay back in the car, the maids were asked to come into the store with us so they could lend a hand if there was a lot to carry. There was a bit of a conflict about the colour of the paint to buy since we weren't sure of the sex of the baby yet. We finally concluded on getting the two colours after a while of deliberation. We returned to the palace after shopping, Asher asked if I
