ELYSIA'S POV

I was equally shocked because I was yet to recover from the trauma of almost getting hit by one of Serafina's ghouls but I quickly got a fold of myself, especially after hearing Serafina scream.

The look on her face showed that of amazement as if that was not supposed to happen.

I immediately knew that she was distracted and it was time for me to strike. Serafina was clearly in shock, and as that, her attention had been taken to somewhere else.

The first thing which crossed my mind was the fact that I had a knife and a gun, and Asher had taken time to train me extensively on how to use them.

I quickly pulled out the gun from underneath my dress and aimed it at Serafina, I took time to get the perfect angle and when I thought I had aimed correctly at her, I pulled the trigger with my eyes tightly shut.

I knew I had tried pulling the trigger several times during the training, but having to shoot it at an actual person now made me more nervous than I could have imagined that
