ASHER'S POV

The constriction in my heart got loosened a bit because I found her after so much frantic search, and that she was also alive. But the knot was still there because I couldn't wake her up.

After much frantic effort trying to wake her up, I took her into my arms and rushed her to the room and placed her on the bed. No matter how hard I tried, no matter how much CPR I tried to administer, she would not wake up.

With shaky hands, I reached out for my phone and called up the doctor. My heart thudded hard against my chest like it was about to burst out of my ribcage, I was sure that the doctor could hear it through the phone.

The doctor showed up in less than five minutes after the call, rushing because I told him it was an emergency.

The first thing he did when he got there was to check Elysia's temperature by placing the back of his palm on her neck, then he tried to feel her pulse before he placed his stereoscope on her chest.

"What happened to her?" He turned to me and asked
