ELYSIA'S POV

When Asher left in a hurry after the phone call, I could not stop the incessant pounding of my heart at the thought that something might have gone wrong once again in the pack.

I would have run after him, but I didn't have the courage to do that seeing that he was already too mad at me so I stayed back huddled on the bed.

With every minute I spent alone at home knowing that Asher was out there taking care of a possible disaster that must have broken out in the pack, the more restless I got. My body itched to go out there and find out what was actually going on, but I was too scared to leave the house because I didn't want to annoy Asher any further.

After pacing around the room for hours and rejecting all the food that was brought to my room by the maids, I would even occasionally go to the window to look through it but everything looked calm on the outside. I got into bed and snuggled under the sheets.

I could not get my mind off what Serafina had said in the dream. She
