ELYSIA'S POV

I seemed to not be the only one who couldn't get an atom of sleep that night because Asher equally lay awake on the bed.

We spent the entire night awake and cuddled up in each other's arms even though we didn't say a word to each other.

We stayed up that way till the first rooster cried.

Following after the break of dawn was the incessant pounding of my fragile heart, I tried as much as I could to push the irrational fear that something bad was going to happen away but it wouldn't go away.

The thought that it was the blood moon that day and Serafina was going to attack anytime soon, in fact the entire thought that a war was approaching wore the hell out of me, and I couldn't help but wish that it was not like that.

When we got out of bed, Asher made me promise to stay safe during the war before we left the room.

While Asher went out to go and start making plans for the war with the warriors, I stayed back inside the house with the maids making food to be taken to the bunk
