Melissa
I was moody throughout the party as I watched my father connect with the Luna, whose name I learnt afterwards to be Ciara. Ciara, the name that was befitted a princess and from her looks and aura, she did look like one.
I watched with the other guests in the hall as the demolition of the walls separating Redmoon and Moonriver was shown in the television, was forced to smile when they all clapped their hands with joy, whispering among themselves about how good the merge was. I watched Ciara and her daughter as they got acquainted with the pack members and also had to smile politely at them when they tried talking to me. I watched and observed it all, until I could not contain it any longer.
To be sure my father no longer needed me, I took an excuse from him and sneaked into the dark garden, glad to finally have a moment of peace to myself.
Alone, I thought of my mother and how she would feel, knowing fully well that someone was taking her place in my father’s life. I thought about my father, desperate to know if his smiles and laughter were genuine, or if he was only faking it because of the crowd.
Lost in my thoughts, I caught sight of the flowers close to me moving on its own, and almost screamed out loud when a young man came out from the side, index fingers on his lips to shush me up. I tilted my head, waiting so that the light coming from the party room would reflect on his face, and when it did, I almost opened my mouth at the face I saw in front of me.
He looked like a demi god and had the arrogance of a thousand alphas. When he came forward to observe me, I almost lost it with how intoxicating his scent was. He tilted his head to the side to get a good look at my face and that was when I noticed the lush black hair filled on his head and the lazy smile that curled up around his lips.
Goddess, he was breath taking.
“Who are you?” I asked, hating myself for stammering in front of the amazingly looking prince. He scoffed at my question and leaned on the door of the garden; his hands folded on his chest.
“For a werewolf, you have a very bad sense of perception.” He replied in a very lazy but sensual voice. “It is very easy to harm you with how distracted you were.”
“Not everybody hangs around in the dark.” I replied, finding it hard not to be attracted to him. “You are the one who is at fault.”
He smiled sweetly at me and to my surprise stretched forth his hands towards me. “What is your name?” He asked and I raised an eyebrow.
“You are the intruder. You should tell me who you are first.”
“Alan.” He simply said, still keeping his hands and waiting for me to take it in mine. “I am an invited guest from the neighboring pack.”
I made my lips to form an Ohhhh sound before capturing his hands softly with mine. “Melissa.” I replied.
He nodded his head slowly, refusing to let go of my hand. When I stared into his eyes, there was a certain calmness that I felt deep within me, almost as if I had met him somewhere before. My heart began to beat loudly against my chest as he held onto my hand and at that moment, it felt like we were the only two people in the world.
“Your heart is racing.” Alan said to me, a sensual smile appearing on the right side of his lips. “Why is your heart racing, Melissa?”
“How can you tell, that my heart is racing just by standing there?” I asked, trying to be bold. He turned my hand to the side, to show me that his finger was on my wrist, feeling my pulse. I quickly removed my hands from his and folded it on my chest.
“Why are you out here?” I asked. “There is a lot happening inside the party.”
“My reason for being out here depends on yours.” He replied, coming forward again so that both of us were standing extremely close to each other and I tried hard not to inhale his delicious scent. “The question is why are you out here, Melissa?”
I blinked twice at him, mesmerized by the smart way he spoke. From his demeanor, it looked like he was deliberately trying to seduce me and it surprised the hell out of me. I have met different categories of werewolves, but none who was this brave and straightforward. I caught his eye drift down to look at my lips and just then, it felt like I was being kissed without my consent.
Unable to take in the sexual tension any longer, I took a step back from him, catching the slight raise of his eyebrow. “Are you running, Melissa?” He asked, still with that devilish smile on his face. I was in love with the way he called my name, the way he allowed the letters roll out of his lips.
“No.” I responded with a shaky voice, even though I had turned my back already. “My father needs me, so I should be inside the party and not here.”
Without looking back to see the exact expression on his face, I walked out of the garden with a racing heart, still wondering how it was possible to feel that connected with someone when I had not even met my wolf yet.
“Melissa.” My father called as soon as I walked back into the party and I turned to see him standing with my new step mother and step-sister. “It is time to leave.” he said.

“Goddess, damn it. Where the hell did I keep it?” I spoke to myself as I searched for my training kit between my clothes the next morning. Today was training day and the professor at school hated it when anyone comes late. Anyone, even the alpha’s daughter. At school, I was doing everything I could to try to be a model citizen of the pack in order not to upset my father, but if something as basic as going to training late was going to be the reason he scolds me, then what was the use of my efforts?
After looking everywhere in my room and not finding the training wears, I rushed down the stairs in my white robe, with the intention of asking any of the servants if they had seen it or probably put it into the washer.
The strong aroma of coffee coming from the kitchen got to my nostrils and I walked over to find my new stepmother, sitting at the table going through a list in her hand. She looked up at me from her chore, and offered me a strong smile that was too difficult not to return.
“Hello, Melissa.” She greeted, raising the mug in her hands towards me. “Do you want coffee?”
“No, thank you.” I replied immediately, turning and walking out of her sight. One of the servants crossed through the hallway and I signaled to her with a wave of my palm.
“Have you seen my training clothes?” I asked the petite young girl, who immediately raised her eyes towards the ceiling, probably trying to remember.
“One of the cleaners handed it over to the Luna’s son.” She replied later on. “He was asked to take it to you.”
“Son?” I asked and she nodded.
“He came in this morning with the movers. His room is next to yours upstairs.”
I thanked her immediately and made my way up the stairs again, nodding to the servant who greeted me on her way downstairs. The door to the room in question was closed, so I pushed it open to see a young man standing by the window, his strong back facing me.
“Hello, sorry to interrupt, but the cleaners said you have my trainers.” I said impatiently as I looked across the room at the clock pasted on the wall.
Just then, the stranger turned to acknowledge me, and I gasped at the sight standing before me.
Alan.
Melissa.Alan was standing before me.Alan, who I met last night and who had stirred different things inside me that I didn’t know existed. Alan, whose single touch had sent shivers down my body. Alan, who I couldn’t stop thinking and dreaming about last night was here and he looked perfect in his blue robe as he watched me.And he is my stepbrother? I asked myself, almost screaming loudly inside my head. Of all people that could be my stepbrother, why him?“What are you doing here?” I blurted out immediately when I couldn’t contain my shock any longer. When he lifted an eyebrow and made to come forward, I shook my head, hating myself for sounding stupid.“What?” He asked, a smile creeping up on the side of his lips. “What did you say?”“I asked why you are here.” I repeated, trying my best not to look at his beautiful face, even though that was the only thing I had thought about throughout the night.“Apparently, I am going to be living here.” He replied, amusement in his voice.“Why
Melissa“No.” I whispered softly to myself. There was no way on earth that the moongoddess would do this to me after so many years of waiting. There was no way Alan, my stepbrother, would be my mate.Still looking at Alan and his raised hand, I turned away again, not moving an inch from the spot. As I stood quietly, I noticed footsteps behind me and from the excited giggles from Lia, I was definitely sure it was Alan coming towards me.Closing my eyes and sighing in distress, I took to my heels, ignoring the surprised stares everyone threw at me. At the entrance of the school, no one, not even the security personnel spoke to me as I ran out of the gates. I was the alpha’s daughter afterall, and the alpha was the only one allowed to scold me.I ran as fast as my legs could carry me through the pack houses, until I was close to the woods, away from where living creatures occupied.“Where are we headed, Melissa?” Lia asked, but I shook my head, still running.“We are not heading anywhere
MelissaI kept tossing and turning during the night, thinking of the implications of not just having two men, but two mates. The fact that I was sexually drawn to both men made the situation even worse for me.They were both very different; I continued to think as I lay on my side. While Alan had the god-like sexy look that was harsh to the eyes, the other one whose name I later found out to be Zach from one of my party guests, had a calmer look. His lush brown hair was perfectly styled backward on his head, while his eyes had been a dark color of blue that I could tell shone brightly like the sea.“Damn it.” I groaned, sitting up on my bed again, my hair already ruffled from constant touching. I stared hard at my door, reminding myself that Alan was sleeping just few steps away from my room. I could go to him and beg him to take me roughly on his bed throughout the entire night. But that wouldn’t speak well of me, I recalled. He was my step brother and even though the moongoddess had
Zachary's Point Of View.It was impossible to look away from her.Even though there were more than twenty students in the class, it was difficult to look anywhere else but at her. The other night her scent had called to me from the shadows and no matter how much I had tried not to think about her, her beautiful face and breathtaking figure kept coming to my mind. Why had the moongoddess made this young irresistibly beautiful female my mate? Why had she made me so attracted to her that it was difficult to look away? And most importantly, why was my fated mate a student and also the daughter of the alpha of the pack?Yesterday, I had watched her shift to her wolf for the first time. I had seen the proud eyes of her father when he touched her shiny white furs and my heart couldn’t help but admire how fast she had run into the woods. Now that she was finally in front of me, I could no longer think. And it was very dangerous to be thinking nasty thoughts about your student, while standing
Melissa's Point Of View. We’ll see! I exclaimed in my heart, boiling with rage.Of all the things he could have said to me, it was we’ll see?“Well, we will see, Mister Professor, who thinks he is all that.” I said, storming out of the training hall. To hell with the insufferable mates the moongoddess had bestowed upon me. One was hovering around me, causing me to have wet dreams about him, while the other was acting rude and cold, even though throughout the training session, he had been staring at me like I was the only person in the room.Shaking my head, I walked through the hallway, ignoring my friends and even my other classmates as they greeted me on my way out. Inside the changing room, I changed back into my normal school outfit while thinking about the conversation I just had with the new professor.Zachary was his damn name and he had pretended not to be affected by me.I scoffed out as I remembered the way he had stared at me during the class, knowing fully well that he was
Alan’s Point Of ViewShe fit perfectly like a glove in my arms, almost like she belonged there. My eyes drifted to her lips, one that seemed like it was begging to be kissed. Her lips had been the first things I had noticed on that night in the garden and, since then, I found myself on countless occasions, dreaming of doing too many things to her.It was still weird that someone could connect with me this fast. When my mother had announced to my sister and I, her decision to merge with Redmoon pack, I had been so disturbed and furious with her. But my anger disappeared the night my wolf sensed Melissa while she stood by the garden door, looking like the princess that she was. My anger disappeared the first time I had a conversation with her and since then, I have wanted to have many conversations with her, even though she always dismisses me.Why has the moongoddess made my stepsister my mate, and what was this obsession I was having towards her? I have asked myself numerous times, bu
Melissa’s Point Of ViewI sat with my father and the leader of his warrior organization as they strategized and planned on how to guard the pack during the full moon which would be taking place tomorrow. The full moon is the night everyone of shifting age changes into their wolf forms and take a run in the woods. It was the only night in every month where pack members are given the opportunity to do whatever they wished without any fear of being punished. For years, I have felt terribly lonely whenever my father and the other servants of shifting age leave for the shifting square without me.But now, I would not only be going with them tomorrow, I would also get the chance to see other people shift into their wolf forms and that made me very happy. Chloe and I had planned to go for a run further into the woods and although it was considered a dangerous thing to do, I was really looking forward to doing it.My inner wolf began to dance with joy suddenly and my mind jumped back into th
Melissa’s Point Of View.“The professor is here.” Freya whispered to Chloe and me, as we stretched in the training hall. My heart skipped a beat as she said those words and I stood to my full height to watch him walk into the class. He was putting on his training clothes and very white sneakers that glittered on the floor. On his wrist was a gold wristwatch that I surprisingly couldn’t peel my eyes off no matter how hard I tried.Professor Zach walked through the aisle of the hall, nodding his head to the greetings of the other students and also smiling at them. I scoffed silently in my mind, wondering why he seemed to know how to smile to others, but frowned anytime he talked to me.“He is so handsome,” Freya said as she watched him. I turned to look at her sweaty face, only to see a very bright and dreamy smile on them. Rolling my eyes with disdain, I focused my attention back on the professor who was now standing on the raised podium located at the far end of the training ground.“
