Chapter 03

Clouds of sweat poured out from Quinn’s body and her clothes became instantly wet.

Yes, she was drenched in her own sweat but, that wasn't her problem.

She wasn't expecting Alpha Maverick to do anything so soon.

Based on what she has read about shadow pack, nothing can be done to captives until a week upwards, so what was happening?

She thought Alpha maverick won't do anything until a week time as always, so she could come up with something, but now this.

“Dad, please don't go with them, “she quickly held Alpha Jaxon. As She begged in tears.

She didn't care if blue moon pack members see her as a weakling. She didn't care about anything at that moment apart from Alpha Jaxon’s safety.

She didn't want her father to go. Alpha maverick was a cruel Alpha, and no amount of pleading could soften his rock heart.

“He might be taken to another dungeon or a cell where I will never set my eyes on him again” she panicked, but the guard pushed her backward and she hit her butt on the hard ground.

But she jumped to her feet and rushed towards her father.

Yes, she was in pain, but she couldn’t watch them take her sweet father, the Alpha of blue moon pack, away just like that! No.

“Father, please stay with me” she grabbed Alpha Jaxon’s hand.

“Am sorry Quinn” Alpha Jaxon’s hand slip off from Quinn's hand

She fought with the guards, but their strength was way more than hers and within an instant, she saw herself flown far into the dungeon.

Before she rushed towards them, the guards had dragged him out and shut the dungeon door.

She screamed, falling to the ground, none of Blue Moon pack members got up to help save their Alpha, they watched him being dragged out like a nobody!

But she couldn't blame them.

They know that they will only fight in vain, so they have maybe accepted their fate.

Alpha Maverick sat on a high stool close to the judgment stone. The only barrier from the judgment stone to where everyone was, is a white covering, more like a curtain.

Two seats were placed beside him.

One on his left-hand side, the other on his right-hand side.

Lucas was sitting gracefully in the seat on his left, while Lincoln's seat was empty.

Alpha maverick stomped his legs on the soil.

Filled with rage. He looked exactly like a demon thirsty for blood. Yes, that’s because he was thirsty to watch Alpha Jaxon in his pool of blood, until then his rage wouldn’t be calm.

Mere looking at him, a little child could have a panic attack and die instantly.

The pack's members all stood in a circle as they awaited Alpha Jaxon’s trial.

Even though they had questions like why the sudden rush of the trial and why the trial was going to take place at the judgment stone, they kept mute.

None of them were ready to die. Besides, most of them were members of other packs that Alpha Maverick captured. The pack members were forced to live as a member of shadow pack while their Alpha’s were locked in cold cells and anyone that protested, ended up in the cell bounded in heavy strong chains.

So they have lived in fear and never questioned Alpha maverick decisions.

The guards dragged Alpha Jaxon towards the judgment stone while the people paved the way for them to pass through.

He fell on his knees, his eyes piercing needles to Alpha maverick souls.

“Get the entire Blue Moon pack and her daughter here!” Alpha maverick growled

And the guards rushed out.

Low whispers filled everywhere at the judgment stone as the pack members whispered

No Alpha deserved to be treated like a slave!

After some minutes, the guards push the Blue Moon pack members forward and the shadow pack members shifted farther so that the entire Blue Moon pack members are in full view.

They were all bounded in chains on their necks and the chains were connected to every single one of them so that if one falls the others feel the pain.

“Father” Quinn, who was at the front on seeing her father, tried rushing to him.

She yearned to help her father. She was the only child. Her mother, the Luna, was dead. They had just her, so she couldn’t bear seeing her father in such a humiliating position.

“Stop right there” Lucas yelled, standing to his feet.

He felt irritated that his mate was his enemy. He was just irritated by her presence and yearned to taunt her!

Quinn boils in fury.

She had always wished to see her mate who she will love and rule blue moon pack with, but now,

She happens to be mated to two people who were her enemies, how cruel the moon goddess could be. Her father was being humiliated, and her so-called mate wasn’t doing anything to help.

“Is it that, they can’t smell me? Or they are just disgusted that I am their mate, just as I feel disgusted that they are my mate?” Her mind wandered

“ keep quiet“ Lucas warned before sitting back.

The guards warned Quinn sternly to keep calm, which she did after some time, besides there was nothing she could do.

The entire blue moon pack fighters were all captured and all had chains bonded on their neck.

If only she listened to her father and ran, just maybe she would come back later for revenge.

She bites her lips as she heard everyone murmuring in pain.

Alpha maverick stood after everyone was quiet.

He stared slowly at everyone, trying to read their expressions before speaking

“Today we celebrate victory! All thanks to my sons

We have one of our biggest rivals as captives, and they happen to be the last rival so that we will be in charge of ruling the supernatural world.

So, we won't waste any further time giving our judgment“ he halted staring at Alpha jaxon who bowed his head awaiting his fate.

“I Alpha Maverick of shadow pack sentence you to death immediately by splitting your head from your body!”

Everyone wailed at the judgment.

This was the first time such a judgment was given to any Alpha.

A few decades ago, Alpha maverick gave out that cruel judgment to his Luna who was accused of having an extramarital affair with a guard

Even when she pleaded not guilty, he asked for his Luna’s head and the guard’s head to be removed from their bodies, and now he was given out such judgment again, but this time to an Alpha.

“Guards split his throat immediately “

At that moment, Lucas understood why his father brought out blue moon pack members -to watch how their Alpha was humiliated and killed.

“I will kill him myself” Lincoln walked in holding a sword.

The sword was dazzling as the sun shone on it.

Merely looking at it, you will know it was new and very sharp.

“You came, “Alpha maverick said, turning to face him.

As he complained earlier of being tired and won’t be able to attend Alpha Jaxon’s trial.

“ Yes, father. I figured out I needed to kill him myself” Lincoln walked towards Alpha Jaxon then dragged him by the neck.

Alpha maverick smiled satisfied for having his son's support “and to the blue moon pack members, I pronounce you all as slaves henceforth”

“Quinn Jaxon I hereby use the power vested on me as an Alpha to reduce you to an omega!”

Quinn fell to the ground while the blue moon pack members wailed.

Lincoln drag Alpha Jaxon towards the judgment stone and Lucas followed suit.

Quinn didn’t feel anything as she thought she was in a trance until she heard her father’s voice then Lincoln and Lucas walk out having blood stains on the sword, their hands, and their bodies.

They look like vampires that just sucked on a human’s blood.

Her body swayed and her head ached.

She was seeing things she couldn't help herself.

It was too heavy for her. yes, yes, too much to bear, so she gave in to the feeling and then there was darkness as darkness welcomed her with an opened arm.
