Lincoln burst open the door of his room.

All that he just heard, was too much to take in for just one day.

“So all my whole life has been a lie? “ He sank to the bed.

He was actually planning on how to make his path never cross with Quinn without rejecting her when someone knocked at the door.

“You should be careful the way you knock on the door of the soon-to-be Alpha, your master,” he said when he opened the door to see one of Blue Moon's pack fighters.

“Am sorry Alpha. It's just that am afraid your brother forcefully dragged your mate into his room. Though I don't know what he is trying to do, but I am sure it's not going to be good on your side considering if anything happens to your mate without sensing and helping her, the consequence is the same as refusing her “ Mark bent his head.

Even though he was just a fighter, he had curiously read about so many other packs.

And in one of those readings, he had stumbled on mating in shadow pack where he read how the mating bond worked in shadow pack including what happened when someone rejects his or her mate.

So when Lucas took Quinn away, he decided to help by going to Lincoln.

Even though surprise shone on his face, Lincoln didn't hesitate before running out.

When Lucas didn't open the door, Lincoln, without thinking, broke down the door and punched Lucas.

After he stormed out of the room, he felt bad for fighting his blood brother.

He has always protected him, but because of the scary consequence of refusing one's mate,...

“I hate this fate “ he punched the wall.

If only he could have Quinn as his mate and at the same time, Lucas could do the same, but that also had a consequence.

“The moon goddess is just putting my brother's life and my life on a tiny piece of robe that one of us has to cut and face the consequence.” he held his chest.

After planning and drafting so many plans, He decided to go visit Quinn, so he could make her see reason, why she should reject Lucas and Lincoln.

Besides, she is now a slave, and no one will look for her or cry over her if she roams the earth forever.

But on getting to the cell Quinn was in, he met some guards at the door and when he passed them, he walked down the passage leading to the cell.

Unlike every other cell In the shadow pack, this cell was built for tough Alphas who would refuse to bow to his father.

But he didn't understand or even care to understand why his father chose to lock Quinn in this cell.

As he walked closer, he heard their voices, and without knowing why, he decided to stay hidden and ear-dropped on what they were talking about.

“Mother didn’t run away as father told us. Instead, he beheaded her and a guard because he suspected she was having an affair with the guard” Lincoln repeated what he heard.

He quickly rushed out and warned the guards to never say to his father that he came there.

Now he was in his room crying like a child

He recently did his ten years birthday, while Lucas recently did his nine-year birthday - as he was just a year older than Lucas.

So, their father made arrangements and took the both of them for some adventures only for them to return, and their father told them that their mother had ran away with a guard.

Now he was twenty-one years old, and after eleven whole years, he just found out that his father had lied to them.

He had beheaded their mother based on the thought she was having an affair, not that he caught her having an affair, how cruel!

“This man is wicked and cruel.

How can he just behead the mother of his sons based on assumption?” Lincoln cried more, he was surely going to make him pay for killing their mother and making them grew up without their mother.

“I can’t believe I have hated my mother while growing up thinking she just left like that, “ Lincoln cried more

An Alpha isn’t supposed to cry, but he just found himself crying. Not because he was a weakling, but, because he suddenly realized he had missed his mother so much.

Lucas walked to the dining and on seeing his brother about to sit for a meal, Lincoln stood, “I will be in my room father “ he said, standing to his feet.

He actually came out for dinner so he could

see the cruel man’s face.

Even before leaving his room for dinner, he had lost his appetite .so, when he saw Lucas walk in, he decided to use that as an excuse to leave the dining room.

“Are we still on this mating issue? “ Alpha maverick asked.

“Father, let him be, his presence disgusts me, “ Lucas said, taking his seat.

“Alpha maverick, you heard your son. So am out of here” Lincoln started walking out

What really ?” Alpha maverick shook his head

“Wait... Did he just call me by my name and not dad, “ he rolled his eyes, realizing the name Lincoln called him.

Lincoln heard so, he scoffed

“You should be lucky I didn't point a gun at your head “

“Zayne! Meet me in my room, “ Alpha maverick stormed off.

While Zayne who stood close to the dining with some guards, scurried after him.

“Get Quinn Jaxon out, I want to kill her myself” he paced everywhere.

“But Alpha it's night already, “ Zayne said

Thinking Alpha, maverick isn't aware of the time.

“I said, get her out and everyone at the judgment stone I will kill her myself before she brings more division between my sons!” he barked

“For I can see they all want her due to the scary consequence, so I will kill her myself and the moon goddess will face me with any damn consequence because I don't care”.

Quinn didn't fight or even care where they were taking her to because she was weak.

She tried speaking to her wolf and changing into her wolf, but it only got all her energy drained.

She was devastated and just wanted to leave this cruel and sorrow-filled life.

The moon shone on everyone gathered.

Low murmuring was heard among the pack members.

“Bringing out people and getting them killed had suddenly become a norm for the cruel Alpha “

An old man from the crowd whispered to someone close.

“And we can't even do anything rather, our lives will be ended if we say against what he is doing, “ the man he whispered to shook his head in pity.

“Today, we are here again, “Alpha maverick walked towards Quinn who was on her knees while two guards held her. One was on her left hand while the other held her right hand as she was too weak to stay on her own.

“And since it’s late, we won’t waste our time here.” He said, grabbing a sword from a guard.

Quinn Jaxon, for manipulating my sons and bringing divisions between them, I will give you a free ticket to meet your father in hell” he rose the sword to slit her.

“If someone is going to die this night, then it should be you,” someone barked, marching forward.
