Chapter 05

Quinn just obeyed and stayed like a moron until she heard Lincoln growled.

She didn't fight or try to stop Lucas, not because she was enjoying what was happening, but because she didn’t know what to do.

It was when she heard lincoln’s voice that she suddenly leaped from the bed, as if a spell had been removed from her eyes.

She was frightened,

“Lucas almost mark me! The same man who killed my father the Alpha with his brother!”

“The goddess seems to be playing a game with my life” she laughs so loud like a maniac as the door broke revealing Lincoln.

“What if Lincoln didn't arrive on time or never arrived,” Quinn shivered at the thought of everything.

She would have not been able to stand being Luca's mate!

Maybe she would have taken her life or flown far away from the supernatural walls.

Before anyone could realize it, Lucas gave out a painful moan, Lincoln had thrown a punch at him, breaking his nose.

“How dare you try to mark my mate!” he yelled at Luca's face, not minding the blood stain on his nose.

Lucas staggered backward, holding his nose.

His face shone with surprise, as he wasn't expecting such an outburst from Lincoln.

He was lost for words for some time.

He didn't know what to do.

“Should he fight his brother or apologize for taking the drastic decision of trying to Mark their mate” his mind wanders in thought.

“Yo…u punched me because of her?” he finally found his voice, choosing the first - fighting his brother.

“Am not apologizing for attempting to mark my mate and make her part of me, “ he shook his head in disapproval.

Lincoln looked disgustingly at him

Even though Lucas took him off guard as he wasn't expecting such a question from him

“And I will punch you so hard all over your body if you say another word,” he said, covering up the surprise.

“You are a bitch for hitting me because of our enemy, “ Lucas spat in his face.

Lincoln felt bad. Ever since childhood, he has always protected his brother.

He had never risen his hands to hit him, but a moment ago he did, all because of an enemy who they were supposed to fight by joining their hands together.

But still, he couldn't help it. He was angry, and he was surely going to hurt the person who woke his anger up.

“She is our mate, not just your mate but a mate to the both of us “ Lincoln punched him and a fight broke out between the duo.

“And what is going on here!” Alpha maverick growled.

On hearing their father's voice, the duo left each other, each still boiling in rage.

“Dad Lucas here tried to mark my mate, “ Lincoln said

“Our mate” Lucas grits his teeth.

As he stares at Lincoln disgustingly.

“Am lost here, can someone explain what all this is about? “ Alpha maverick said, staring at Quinn, Lucas, and Lincoln.

He was confused as to what Quinn was doing in Luca's room and who they were referring to as a mate. The only female there was no other person than Quinn, so he prayed silently that what he was thinking wasn't true.

The moon goddess hasn't given Quinn to any of his sons as a mate!

“Dad Quinn here is Lucas and I mate !” Lincoln said. Even though Quinn was an enemy and their father would be disappointed and furious at them, he just decided to say the truth beside it will come to light one of these days that the moon goddess has mated Quinn to the two sons of Alpha maverick, so the sooner he found out the better for them all besides he wasn't going to reject his mate and face the damn consequences.

At the thought of the consequences, Lincoln felt a pang of pain in his chest. “The consequence of rejecting one's mate, is not a good one, no wonder Lucas is trying to make her his quickly, lol here I am thinking I have finally started having something for my mate. No! That is not it. But I'm afraid of facing the consequence “ Lincoln bites his lip, “in due time, one of them will have to leave her for the other and face this scary consequence. Oh, the moon goddess is already out for vengeance for all the atrocities my brother and I have committed thanks to my father!”

Alpha maverick staggered backward

Here he was praying that the moon goddess hasn't given Quinn to any of his sons as a mate, but it happened that the moon goddess gave his two sons Quinn as their mate

“This is a prank, right? It's hilarious and at the same time an annoying prank right “ Alpha maverick shivered

“How I wish it was dad, “ Lincoln said

“Dad, tell your son to take his eyes, off my mate, henceforth else he will have me to contend with “ Lincoln walked out.

“Will you get out of this room before I unleash my anger on you, “ Alpha maverick yelled at Quinn

Frightened, she ran out while Mark, who stood at the door, followed her.

“I will attend to this before you two turn against each other, “ Alpha maverick stormed off.

“Gosh !” Lucas sank onto the bed.

He still couldn't believe Lincoln, his elder brother who has always protected him ever since they were children, actually lifted his hand on him because of Quinn

“This is going to be tougher than I anticipated “he rolled on the bed “I will do something fast because even though she is an enemy, am not ready to share her with anyone!

What am I even saying, she can not be shared.

As long as she is my mate, not even my brother will I allow to have her as a mate.”

Alpha maverick paced to and fro in his room,

“This isn't happening, right?

How can the moon goddess give my two sons to one woman as mate and not just any woman but my enemy?

But how possible was it” he asked himself, trying to remember of ever heard or seen such but no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't remember as such has never happened, it has always been an abomination.

“Just when I thought I was finally living my dream life of being the only Alpha ruling the supernatural world, now this is happening.

I won't waste further time now that my two sons are out to do anything to each other just to have her to themselves.

“I will make her go through pain. I will torment her life and give her scars that will make her ugly and not wanted by any man. Yes, I will so deal with her for allowing the moon goddess to use her to bring war between my sons” after saying that, he laughed devilishly then walked out of his room.

“The moon goddess isn't doing anything to avenge my father's death, all she is doing is put my life on a tiny piece of thread “ Quinn cries

She hugged herself as a thought pop-up in her mind

“Alpha maverick might decide to end my life, “ she quivers in fright.

Her mind stopped for some time on hearing the cell gate unlocking.

“Has her end finally come

Has the moon goddess finally brought about her doom by mating her to the two sons of the Man that pronounced her father's death?”

“Quinn Jaxon I didn't send someone this time I came myself “ Alpha maverick voice echoed in the cell building.
