Sebastian MechalisAND WE ARE BACK! Winter Break finally started! I've been preparing many things for my writing in the future. I've also been rethinking and perfecting this book's plot for the past week or so. Finally, I've been able to stock up some good decisions and chapters. This chapter is a small reminder that I'm still here and this book will not be discontinued. I was jus busy with my senior year. I'm preparing many surprises in the next days so stay tuned! The hot bath worked like magic to erase not only the dirt but also the worries of the day. Sarah filled in the bathtub for Ophelia the moment she got back. The water temperature was a little higher than what she usually preferred but it didn’t bother her. The sting of the hot water on her bare skin was pain she enjoyed, it took her mind off of things she rather not think about again. But, every now and then she saw images of her brother, the way he looked at her this morning. The feeling that he was going to jump at her at any given moment kept her on edge even now. She wondered how he was doing now and what he did after she left. Did he think about what she said to him? She wondered. She wasn’t bluffing about the truth serum, she hoped he believed her. If he wasn’t going to talk, the council would make him talk. They were already doing him a favor by waiting till now. Bernard was right about his words but, to what lengths? The way to Noah’s room felt longer than it usually took. She halted by the door wondering if Noah was already up and around behind this door. She placed her hand over her chest to calm her beating heart. “Oh, Lady Claudia,” Ryan said, bringing Ophelia back to the present. She turned to look at the other end of the hall. The Omega, Claudia was as perfect as ever. The moment she saw Claudia she was flooded with the sweet smell of pheromones. The moon was high in the sky now. Noah urged Ophelia to open the window and allow a bit of fresh air. Now that he has woken up he was all stuffed up within his room. The smell of the disinfectants and medicine made his room a hospital, and Noah hated hospitals. Ophelia was still next to him enjoying the warmth they offered each other. They enjoyed the scenery from the window on their right, watching the clouds shading the moon as it crossed over. It was a cloudy night, with barely any stars visible in the sky. The sounds of the guard's footsteps echoed through the mansions as they patrolled the parameters. For a bit, it was peaceful. Ophelia wished this peace to be permanent, but it was all wishful thinking. Deep down she could feel her wolf on edge, waiting for danger like a beast in the forest. However, it was hard to give it any serious thought while being this comfortable in Noah’s warmth. Noah’s heartbeat against her skin was a tranquilizer to her nerves, nothing else mattered
