As this journey comes to an end I'm left with many doubts regarding the way I did it.
There were days when I wanted to quite, but my heart desperately clung on to the last string of hope.
The novel wasn't going along as well as I thought it would. Through the darkest days I had to remind myself that there are readers out there enjoying it.
The last 2 years have been a roller coaster in my life, writing was hard, I barely had the time or the energy. But as I finally got a breather, I decided it was time to end this book.
I ended it to mark the end of a phase of my life, and the life of my characters...
Some might see it was rushed, but, it was the only way I saw it coming along.
I the excitement of reaching the end gave me power to keep on going...
And now the thrill of starting a new journey is giving me power.
I believe to start something new, you need to end the past.
And I did.
These characters all replicate a bit of me...
I hope my feelings were conveyed along with my words.
Lastly,
I would like to warmly thank all of you who stayed and read along this long journey.
For future readers, I hope you enjoy this book and support it in any way you can.

Noah lost track of the time as he sat there best the bed. The figure of the little mysterious girl was carved in the back of his mind like a stone. She was lying still on her back this whole time. It was hard to believe that she was still alive. Noah even asked Nurse Sarah if the little girl was even breathing. The nurse saw the worry in his eyes, she ruffled his ink-black hair and reassured him that the little girl was okay. Ophelia gladly ate the food served on her bed. She never realized she was this hungry until the smell of freshly baked bread teased her nostrils. The night before, she declined dinner saying her stomach was too upset to handle it. Nurse Sarah bought her a cup of sweetened warm milk instead, it helped calmed her down and before she knew it, she was in dreamland. The taste of the sweet jam and bread made her feel alive for the first time since that wretched night. The smell reminded her of home, the way her mom made breakfast when the first rays of the sun got into the kitchen.
