Ophelia stood center, Merrick and Hero on her right and Oswald on her left, she felt their auras pulsate in the air around them.

“Are you sure you are well enough to fight?” Merrick muttered, his voice low only for Hero, but Ophelia heard it.

“I’ve never felt better,” Hero said, stretching his arms over his head. Laura’s power healed the broken rips and wounds on his abdomen. He could feel the phantom of the pain where his shoulder dislocated, earlier a boulder fell from a collapsing house shattering his bones. Laura undid the damage with her healing powers.

Ophelia couldn’t prickle to hear their conversation longer. Dustin stood before them unmoving, watching them with a cold lifeless expression, a smirk touched the corners of his mouth. It was the most upsetting thing Ophelia had ever seen in her life. It reminded her of clowns – the ones you run from.
