“What are your plans for the weekend Logan?” Felix inquired as they walked together towards the car-park.
“What plan other than to finish up with the company’s task ahead of us. Our business must not lag, you know that right?” Logan responded diligently.
Logan and Felix are not only business partners, but childhood friends although Felix literally works for Logan who inherited his father's company, regardless they're best friends.
“You are so boring” Felix remarked, shaking his head.
“If prioritizing my company makes you think I'm boring, thank you” He said sarcastically as he placed his briefcase in the car boot.
“Take a chill break dude, c'mon” Felix obstructed him from opening the front door.
“What is it Felix?” Logan crossed his arm.
“Today is friday and do you know what’s popping in town?”
Logan shook his head apathetically.
“Club” Felix told him.
“I don't attend clubs” Logan retorted.
“But you will. You are definitely coming with me. C’mon loosen up alittle, don't be so dull”
“No, I am not dull. I’ve once wasted almost half of my life, partying and clubbing. I'm not going back to that kind of lifestyle” Logan barked.
“Oh sorry to break it to you, I'm only doing you a favour” Felix chuckled.
“What favour?” He furrowed his brows.
“Your Dad asked me if there's a woman in your life” Felix told him.
“He also asked you? I mean he brought up this issue the last time we spoke. Tell me Felix, have I gotten to that age where parents nags about settling down?”
“Well, I don't know Logan. All I know is that you haven't moved on ever since your last girlfriend dumped you”
“No, she didn't dump me. Heaven knows I loved her to the moon and back but she cheated and I was the one who ended the relationship” Logan tried to explain.
“Whatever, it's the same thing. She cheated because you are boring. Get a life Logan, you are such a workaholic”
Logan didn't argue any further.
“So you are coming with me to the club?” Felix asked again.
“Hmmn” He sighed.
“Trust me, there are beautiful and sexy women”
“Whatever” He mumbled. “Okay, you win” He agreed reluctantly and hopped into his car with Felix, through the other door.
**
They arrived at the loud club.
Neon lights flickered on the walls syncing with the vibrant display of light and sound.
Felix wasted no time to mingle with those swaying on the dance floor while Logan on the other hand settled at the bar corner, pressing his phone and gulping whiskey.
While Felix recieved a lap dance from a lady, he signaled to Logan to come join him on the dance floor but he ignored and also turned down the ladies that approached him.
“Hey handsome” A feminine voice lilted seductively, pulling Logan from his drink and phone.
He glanced up, uninterested, as a lady sidled up to him, standing akimbo.
He returned to his whiskey, muttering dismissively, “Let me be”
Undeterred, she came closer, flashing a coy smile. “Why come to a club if you’re not here for fun?” She seems persistent.
Logan snubbed her, with his gaze still fixed on his phone.
“And who comes to a club in a three-pieces suit?” She scoffed, mockingly trying to get his attention.
“I came directly from my office” Logan responded.
“Oh, I see you are businessman, a working class. Hmmn, I like your type” She smiled.
“Thank you” Logan mumbled, taking a sip of his whiskey, seemingly unfazed by the woman’s interest.
“I’m Allyson,” she said, offering a hand to shake.
Logan reluctantly met her gaze, seeing that she was a bit stubborn.
“Logan,” he responded coolly, his eyes flashing back to his phone.
“So what kind of business do you do Mr. Logan?” She asked, sitting next to him, really closely.
“Why do you care?” Logan scoffed, grabbing another bottle of whiskey.
Despite his annoyance, he could feel Allyson’s presence lingering next to him, close enough to feel her body heat.
“Oh, you’d be surprised.” She teased, tracing her finger across the rim of his glass. “A man like you—you’re not like the others. I can tell.”
Logan rolled his eyes, yet he couldn’t help but acknowledge that there was something intriguing about this woman. Something different.
She collected the bottle from him, helped him pour the wine into two glasses for both of them.
"Cheers," Allyson said, raising her glass to Logan's.
"Tell me, Logan," she said, her voice low and suggestive. "What do you do when you're not working? What do you do for fun?"
He drank from the glass and tried to shrug her off instantly; “See, I know your type and I know what you want Allyson. I am not interested”
Still, Allyson leaned in closer, her smile mischievous. “I want to spend a good time with you. I'm more interested in the man beneath the suits” She whispered, trailing her finger down his shirt-chest.
Logan felt himself growing tired and his sight becoming foggy.
She smiled mischievously and cupped his jaw, letting her lips hover inches away from Logan's, her warm breath all over his skin.
Logan broke the kiss as he tried to speak. “Did..did..you put something in my drink?” He tried to fight off the drowsiness, but it was no use. His eyelids grew heavy and he found himself nodding off at the bar, unaware of Allyson's cunning plan.
She closed the distance between them as she stood up and slung Logan over her shoulder and led him to the club’s dimly lit room.
Others were oblivious to what was happening between them, they minded their business because they looked like a couple even Felix couldn't come to his friend’s rescue because he also thought Logan had finally connected with a girl.
Logan tried to resist, but his mind was hazy, he couldn't think clearly, he felt his bones feeble and his mind start to droop. He tried to beg her to let him go, but his lips wouldn’t form the words, he groaned.
She laid him down on the bed and smiled satisfyingly, she deftly lifted his wallet from his back pocket, flipping through it, she smirked at the sizable sum of cash and credit cards.
She took her time, removing his phone, his keys, his expensive wrist watch and necklace.
It was a veritable gold mine for a thief like her, and when she was done, she silently slipped out of the room, leaving Logan alone and helpless.
Outside the room, Allyson coolly made her way to the exit, jostling and melting into the crowd.

To Be Continued
Logan woke up hours later in a daze, his head pounding. He tried to process where he was and how he'd ended up in the room. As he struggled to place together the night's events, Felix flung the door opened; “Here you are dude!”“Wh.. what am I doing here?” Logan sat upright."Oh man, you left the club with a lady?" Felix reminded him.“Where is she?? A..Allyson.. that lady.. she's a …” His head pounded. He groaned and rubbed his forehead.“Looks like you drank a lot?” Felix sensed something was wrong with him.“No, she drugged me” Patting down his pockets, he noticed his phone was gone, along with his wallet. “And she robbed me”“Where's my phone?” He looked around the bed.. “And my wallet?” He checked every pockets in his suits “My wallet is gone too. I've been robbed. That lady robbed me. She drugged me and she robbed me” “What? I thought you guys got along so quickly and were just having fun”“Hell no… Where's she? Who is she?” Logan flared.“How was I supposed to know? I'm sorry
Logan stared at his phone in disbelief, his heart racing."Unbelievable " he muttered under his breath, pacing the room like a caged animal. "I can't lose my company. Not over something like this.”Felix watched in silence, a deep furrow forming between his brows. He heard the whole conversation because the phone was on speaker.“I lied that you have a fiancée to cover you up but looks like it only made things complicated” Felix said.“I can't believe he set a damn deadline for a relationship that doesn't even exist. He gave me a week to introduce my woman to him and settle down”“That's ridiculous” Felix remarked.Logan let out a frustrated sigh. "I am not letting my dad take away everything I've worked for just because I'm single to stupor”“So what would you do?” Felix asked him.“i don't know. What would you have me do?” He asked Felix the same question.“Hmmn, your dad is probably only pulling your legs; let's wait for a week and see; he’ll do nothing” “My father is a man of his
“Next” The sultry attendee came out of the office and gestured at her.It was finally Allyson’s turn to be interviewed. She smoothed up the crease on her bodycon gown; if her knowledge or fine face didn't impress the interviewer, her sexy body should do so.She rose up from the plush sofa with her sleek leather bag hanging from her shoulder and a file in her grasp. Confidently, she sauntered towards the door, her stilettos clicking against the marbled floor, as though she was announcing her entrance. As soon as Allyson stepped into the office, Her eyes darted to the two people in the office, she saw Logan and and immediately, she knew she was in trouble.“Have a seat” Felix beckoned her.She forced herself to remain as calm as possible. After all, Logan seemed distracted by the paperwork in front of him.“You are Allyson Scott?” Felix read from her folder. Allyson nodded, her eyes drifted to Logan, thinking her name would ring a bell immediately and draw his attention.“And with wha
Allyson rang the gate bell, she had followed the address he gave her and the cab had brought her right in front of this huge gate.“I have an appointment with Mr Logan Moore” Allyson told the security who came to open the gate.“Are you Allyson Scott?”“Yes, I am” “Please come in” He motioned her in. “That door right there, is the entrance. Mr Logan is expecting you” The gate keeper said. All Allyson did was to nod then follow his directions. She enters the house, only to see Logan emerge from a side door.“Ah! Allyson, you are finally here” He says, his voice deep, at least he didn't seem harsh or angry.“Hello” I managed to say.“Right this way” He motioned me to the table for two. “Now, let's get down to business” He cleared his throat.I was nervous, yet I nodded. He began to explain to me that his father was expecting us at a simple dinner and that he was going to introduce me as the woman in his life. He briefly told me some few things about him in case his father asked questio
Logan packed the car, almost getting to the front of Allyson’s house.“Please” He pleaded, wanting to hold her hands but she withdrew.“No.. I.. I can't” Allyson shook her head. “Our deal ends here. I have nothing to do with you anymore”“But you heard my father, he wants us to get married, he approved of you” He pleaded.“I… I can't do this. I shouldn't haven't pretended to be your girlfriend in the first place” “He’ll take my only job, the company” He looked so scared.Allyson heaved deeply.“Please, marry me” Logan begged.Allyson literally took a time before uttering;“You have no idea if I'm in a relationship with someone”“Are you?” He blurted.I shook my head; “But I want to genuinely love someone. I want genuine companionship” That was a slip of the tongue.“The marriage contract will only be for a year then we’ll go our separate ways” “And what are you gonna tell your Dad when we are no longer together?”“We fell out of love and decided to divorce” Logan said.I looked at h
