Allyson rang the gate bell, she had followed the address he gave her and the cab had brought her right in front of this huge gate.
“I have an appointment with Mr Logan Moore” Allyson told the security who came to open the gate.
“Are you Allyson Scott?”
“Yes, I am”
“Please come in” He motioned her in. “That door right there, is the entrance. Mr Logan is expecting you” The gate keeper said.
All Allyson did was to nod then follow his directions.
She enters the house, only to see Logan emerge from a side door.
“Ah! Allyson, you are finally here” He says, his voice deep, at least he didn't seem harsh or angry.
“Hello” I managed to say.
“Right this way” He motioned me to the table for two. “Now, let's get down to business” He cleared his throat.
I was nervous, yet I nodded.
He began to explain to me that his father was expecting us at a simple dinner and that he was going to introduce me as the woman in his life. He briefly told me some few things about him in case his father asked questions and vice versa, he told me tell him about myself.
In between, he ordered the maid to offer me a meal. It was surprising how he treated me nicely and also spoke calmly, neither did he mention our first encounter probably for the sake of the charade.
“And after all that?” I asked.
“That's all you have to do and I owe you nothing remember?” He said.
“That's right” I mumbled, trying to hide my hurt.
“After this, we are now even” Logan said and I nodded.
We spent only few more hours getting to know eachother better and as for me, it was really awkward.
Before I left his place, he asked for my house address and promised to come pick me up at my place during the weekend, when we’ll be meeting his father.

~The B'day.
“Are you okay?” Allyson asked Mabel, who just finished eating.
“Yeah” She answered, wiping her mouth with a napkin.
“You need to have some rest now” Allyson said, about to push the wheelchair to the room.
“Are you going out?” Mabel noticed she seemed to be in haste.
“Yeah, but I'll be back very soon”
“Where are you going?” Mabel inquired.
“Uhm… I…”
There was a knock on the door. I quickly went to get it, it was Logan…
“Hello” I let him in nervously.
“Hi, you ready?” He asked and I nodded.
“Hello there” He waved at my little sister.
“Hi” Mabel replied.
“Have a seat, I'll be right back. I need to take my sister to the room” I told Logan.
“It's okay” He said.
I gently pushed the wheelchair to the room, helped Mabel climb the bed, lie down properly and covered her with a duvet.
“I'll be back very quickly before you know it”
She nodded.
“Or do you want me to call Kessia to come stay with you?”
“Nevermind, I'm sleepy anyways” She replied, turning to the edge of the bed.
“Okay” Was all I said, then I returned to the parlour to meet Logan.
“I'm sorry for keeping you waiting” I apologised.
“I'm sorry about your sick sister” He looked empathetic like it was his fault.
“Uhm…uh..” I didn't know what to say.
“Here” He gave me a package, he came with.
“If you must see my father, you must dress gorgeously” He said.
I looked into the package bag “Oh”
Without further words, I quickly went inside to change into dress he bought, it was gorgeous indeed and it accentuates my body.
He glanced at me speechlessly and still didn't utter a word throughout our journey to his father's place not untill we arrived at the compound.
Just before we alighted, he said; “I hope you’ve not forgotten everything i’ve told you?”
“Not at all” I answered.
He got down from the car and came to open the door for me before I did. He didn't stop there, he also placed his hand around my waist as we walked side by side into the house.

“Dad, meet Allyson, the love of my life” Logan introduced me to his Dad.
“Good day sir, it's my pleasure to finally meet you, Logan has told me so much about you” I smiled cheerfully.
For a moment, his father peered at me through his glasses, then turned to his son.
“So when are you both getting married?” He took of his glasses and asked.
“Uh?” Though it was faint but Logan who sat beside me could hear that. I looked at him, confused.
“Uhm Dad, Allyson is the woman I'm seeing”
“I gave you a week to introduce your fianceé, the woman you want to marry” His father said.
“I know, I know. She is the one for me” Logan replied.
I slowly shook my head, trying to communicate with him in a discreet way his father wouldn't notice but instead, Logan took my fingers and interlocked with his on the table.
“Yes Dad, we are working towards marriage” He smiled.
“I'm giving you another week to settle down” His Dad ordered.
My temper increased and I know he felt it, so he fondled my fingers to make me calm.
“Yes, actually..Logan already proposed to me” I managed to continue playing along.
.
Surprisingly, Logan's father finally smiled.
“Wonderful, I love the man you're becoming Logan and I also accept the woman you’ve chosen to spend the rest of your life with. She seems just perfect” He said heartily.
“Yeah, she is” Logan responded.
We faked a smile at eachother.
We are in silence.
His father didn't ask further questions; we've prepared for questions like where and when did we meet, how did we fall in love, this and that but he didn't ask any.
He just wanted to make sure that we were planning to get married soon.
**
Later that evening,
Logan drove me back home, I was tied of the awkward silence in the car especially after the whole drama that happened today.
“We are even now. Pretend girlfriend, done and dusted” I deliberately broke the silence but he didn't say anything.
“Your father will be shocked that you're still not planning to get married in a week time” I chuckled.
“And he’ll withdraw the one job he gave me”
“Huh?”
“He’ll hand over my company, I mean his company he gave me to my cousin if I don't do as he says” Logan told me.
“Oops… that's sad” I really didn't know what to say
“But you are not married, are you?” Logan asked instead.
“No”
And I interrupted him when he wanted to speak.
“Our contract ends here. You asked me to be your pretend Girlfriend in order to pay what I owe which I already did” I said.
“I promise, 'll pay for your sister's health bills, the dialysis and I promise she’ll get off the wheelchair as soon as she's being attended to by my best doctors” Logan said.
“Uh.. wh..what?” I stuttered
“With an extra cash sum of $100,000”
“Wh…why?”
“If you would marry me” He said.
I was dumbfounded.

To Be Continued.
Logan packed the car, almost getting to the front of Allyson’s house.“Please” He pleaded, wanting to hold her hands but she withdrew.“No.. I.. I can't” Allyson shook her head. “Our deal ends here. I have nothing to do with you anymore”“But you heard my father, he wants us to get married, he approved of you” He pleaded.“I… I can't do this. I shouldn't haven't pretended to be your girlfriend in the first place” “He’ll take my only job, the company” He looked so scared.Allyson heaved deeply.“Please, marry me” Logan begged.Allyson literally took a time before uttering;“You have no idea if I'm in a relationship with someone”“Are you?” He blurted.I shook my head; “But I want to genuinely love someone. I want genuine companionship” That was a slip of the tongue.“The marriage contract will only be for a year then we’ll go our separate ways” “And what are you gonna tell your Dad when we are no longer together?”“We fell out of love and decided to divorce” Logan said.I looked at h
“What are your plans for the weekend Logan?” Felix inquired as they walked together towards the car-park.“What plan other than to finish up with the company’s task ahead of us. Our business must not lag, you know that right?” Logan responded diligently.Logan and Felix are not only business partners, but childhood friends although Felix literally works for Logan who inherited his father's company, regardless they're best friends.“You are so boring” Felix remarked, shaking his head.“If prioritizing my company makes you think I'm boring, thank you” He said sarcastically as he placed his briefcase in the car boot.“Take a chill break dude, c'mon” Felix obstructed him from opening the front door.“What is it Felix?” Logan crossed his arm.“Today is friday and do you know what’s popping in town?” Logan shook his head apathetically.“Club” Felix told him.“I don't attend clubs” Logan retorted.“But you will. You are definitely coming with me. C’mon loosen up alittle, don't be so dull”“
Logan woke up hours later in a daze, his head pounding. He tried to process where he was and how he'd ended up in the room. As he struggled to place together the night's events, Felix flung the door opened; “Here you are dude!”“Wh.. what am I doing here?” Logan sat upright."Oh man, you left the club with a lady?" Felix reminded him.“Where is she?? A..Allyson.. that lady.. she's a …” His head pounded. He groaned and rubbed his forehead.“Looks like you drank a lot?” Felix sensed something was wrong with him.“No, she drugged me” Patting down his pockets, he noticed his phone was gone, along with his wallet. “And she robbed me”“Where's my phone?” He looked around the bed.. “And my wallet?” He checked every pockets in his suits “My wallet is gone too. I've been robbed. That lady robbed me. She drugged me and she robbed me” “What? I thought you guys got along so quickly and were just having fun”“Hell no… Where's she? Who is she?” Logan flared.“How was I supposed to know? I'm sorry
Logan stared at his phone in disbelief, his heart racing."Unbelievable " he muttered under his breath, pacing the room like a caged animal. "I can't lose my company. Not over something like this.”Felix watched in silence, a deep furrow forming between his brows. He heard the whole conversation because the phone was on speaker.“I lied that you have a fiancée to cover you up but looks like it only made things complicated” Felix said.“I can't believe he set a damn deadline for a relationship that doesn't even exist. He gave me a week to introduce my woman to him and settle down”“That's ridiculous” Felix remarked.Logan let out a frustrated sigh. "I am not letting my dad take away everything I've worked for just because I'm single to stupor”“So what would you do?” Felix asked him.“i don't know. What would you have me do?” He asked Felix the same question.“Hmmn, your dad is probably only pulling your legs; let's wait for a week and see; he’ll do nothing” “My father is a man of his
“Next” The sultry attendee came out of the office and gestured at her.It was finally Allyson’s turn to be interviewed. She smoothed up the crease on her bodycon gown; if her knowledge or fine face didn't impress the interviewer, her sexy body should do so.She rose up from the plush sofa with her sleek leather bag hanging from her shoulder and a file in her grasp. Confidently, she sauntered towards the door, her stilettos clicking against the marbled floor, as though she was announcing her entrance. As soon as Allyson stepped into the office, Her eyes darted to the two people in the office, she saw Logan and and immediately, she knew she was in trouble.“Have a seat” Felix beckoned her.She forced herself to remain as calm as possible. After all, Logan seemed distracted by the paperwork in front of him.“You are Allyson Scott?” Felix read from her folder. Allyson nodded, her eyes drifted to Logan, thinking her name would ring a bell immediately and draw his attention.“And with wha
