Chapter 2

In the kitchen

"The girl is so beautiful Charles, what's her story?" Rebecca asked as she put the plate of pancakes infront of Charles. 

"Yes she is, but much prettier when she smile," proud na sabi ni Charles. "It's ts a pity that she was force to marry someone else by her father, and beated her when she refuses to do so. You should seen the face of the poor child when she asked our princess help. Her face was swollen, and bruises everywhere. I'm glad she did asked Hera's help, and the rest is history."

"She must be upset to see her beaten state for her to middle in her affairs."

"Yes, you know her Rebecca. She always middling with her friend's life, and force Austin to shelter her here." he told her while munching his food. 

"Her father beat her? Damn, the man is a sadistic, beating her own flesh and blood. How is Señorita Hera by the way"

"She's okey, and happily married to her prince," he said as he sipped his coffee. 

"Good for her. She's always in tears when she's here." 

"Yes, one happy ending," Charles commented as he eat the last piece of his pancakes.

(Upstairs...in a beedroom)

Halos napa-Wow siya sa kanyang silid. It's a very huge room. A room for a princess, but she is not a princess.



Hindi niya mapigilan mapanganga habang inililibot ang kanyang mata sa lahat ng sulok ng kanyang kwarto. 

How could any one owned this house so big. Ay, Oo nga pala, isa itong kastilyo.

The room is awesome. This is great. Daig niya pa ang nakatira sa isang hotel. Halos hindi siya makapaniwala. Kinurot niya ang kanyang saliri para malaman kung totoo ba ang lahat ng nakikita niya, at hindi siya nanaginip lang.

Yes... She is going to love in a castle. Oh God, parang ayaw niya na magising kung ito ay isang panaginip lang.

Lilly told her that the castle has more than fifty thirty rooms, with more than hundred of staff in all including Ms. Rebecca.

Biglang bumukas ang pintoan ng kanyang kwarto, at pumasok si Lilly na nakangiti.

"Madam, your presence is requested by Sir Charles at the living hall."

"Tell Charles, I'll be down in a minute," she said and smile at Lily. "But please wait for me, eer... I might be lost. Will you please...?"

"Yes, of course, Ms. Daphne." The girl smile at her.

Kumuha siya ng damit sa kanyang bag, at pumasok sa banyo para magbihis. Nang marinig niyang bumukas ulit ang pintuan ng kwarto, she audibly heard their conversation.. 

"Lilly la chica es tan encantadora (the girl is so lovely)" sabi ng isang boses.

"Sí que es y creo que la Sra. Ivy no le gusta su estancia aquí (Yes, she is. And I think Ms. Ivy will not like her staying here)" sagot ni Lilly sa babae. 

"No puedo esperar a ver a la Sra. Ivy cara cuando la vea. (I can't wait to see Ms. Ivy face when she see her)" sagot ng babae sabay bungisngis. 

Lumabas na siya ng banyo, at naabotan niyang mahinang tumatawa ang babae.

"Hi," nakangiting bati niya sa babae na nahalatang nagulat sa pagsulpot niya. Mukhang kasing edad lang ito ni Lilly. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting," paghingi niya ng despensa sa kay Lilly. 

"It's okey, Ms. Daphne," nakangting sabi ng dalaga sa kanya. "Ms. Daphne, this is Sophia. s

She's one of the chambermaid," pakilala ni Lily sa babae

"My pleasure to meet you, Sophia. " 

"No, Madam, the pleasure is ours, Señorita. And we're happy to have you here in the castle," nakangiting sabi ng babae sa kanya. 

"Shall we go?" sabi ng dalawang babae, at ngumiti.

Lumabas sila ng  kwarto, at bumaba na sa malawak na staircase papuntang salas.

Habang pababa na sila ay nakita ni Daphne na lahat ng mga taohan ay nagtipon-tipon sa salas, na para bang may briefing na nangyayari.

Agad na ngumiti si Charles at Rebecca nang makita siya.

"Here she comes," sabi ni Rebecca sa lahat "Come here, Ms. Daphne," dagdag pa nito, at hinawakan ang kanyang kamay. "Everyone, I want you to meet Ms. Daphne. She will be our guest. She's Ms Hera bestfriend, so threat her right."

"Yes, Madam" they all said in unison. "Welcome Ms. Daphne."

Ipinakilala isa-isa sa kay Daphne ang lahat ng kasambahay, mula sa hardinero, driver, chambermaid, cooks, laundrywoman at butler.

Napailing na lang siya sa mga ngiti, at tingin na tinatapon sa kanya.

They all looking at their guest. She is pretty, no pretty is an understatement,  gorgeous is more appropriate to describe her. They all have a feeling that their young master will be in great trouble because of this girl. She smiles like an angel, and they sense that she is a kind hearted woman.

"Alright, go back to your work people," mala-autoridad na sabi ni Rebecca sa mga kasambahay.

Isa-isa naman ang mga ito na bumalik sa kani-kanilang trabaho. 

"Gusto mong magkape?" wika ni Charles sa kanya. "Let's go to the kitchen," hinila siya ni Charles papuntang kitchen, kasunod nila si Rebecca.

"Sige kung pwede," mahina niyang sabi

"Silly girl, of course pwede. Right, Rebeeca?" nakangiting tinignan ni Charles ang babae. 

"Yes, of course," sagot ni Rebecca sa kay Charles

Ipinagtimpla siya ni Rebecca ng kape kahit ipinagpilitan niya na siya nalang.

"You are our guest," wika pa nito sa kanya saka naglabas ito ng carrot cake mula sa fridge.

Umupo siya sa isa sa mga silya sa long dinning table

"Bukas papasyal tayo sa Granada or Pamplona or Madrid or Barcelona. It's your choice, My Lady," nakangiting sabi Charles sa kanya habang nagkakape sila sa kusina.

"Talaga? Ipapasyal mo ako Charles? Pwede sa Madrid na lang muna," excited niyang sabi habang kinakain niya ang carrot cake.

"Sure, if that is your wish, My Lady." 

"Rebeeca! Make me some coffee please" sabi ng isang familiar na boses na biglang pumasok sa kusina. Halos lumuwa ang mata nito nang makita siya.

Nanginig bigla ang kanyang buong katawan, seeing him again makes her heart leap a beat.

"You! You are Daphne?" gulat na sabi ni Austin "Princess must be crazy!"

Yes, it's me! Wala ng iba... sagot ng isip niya.

Natawa lang si Charles sa reaction ni Austin. Kahit siya gustong din tumawa pero pinipigilan niyang tumawa dahil baka mabanas lang lalo ito.
