"Omega?" Tristan asked, surprised as he stared at Even.

Did he (Even) know about this?

Deities! This was shocking!!

"Born with a womb, scent, pheromones that of a beta's. Do you know how ashamed we were?!" Camila yelled at him, surprising them (Devlin, Tristan, Lvan, Chris and Carlos)

Even had a womb?

So.....he was omega but wasn't exactly omega?

What the heck?! Tristan was so confused!!

"That's why you gave him those happy pills. You wanted to change him" Devlin said, glaring at the two (David and Camila)

"Happy pills? There's nothing happy about that" Tristan said.

"After the test, we found out Even has a womb" Dr Jones said, gaining their attentions.

So.....that's why his mate (Even) had that depressed look on his face.

Why?

Did he think no one will like him anymore?

Did he think they'll all hate him?

Did he think he'll leave him?

Devlin was never leaving him.

Never!

Even was his mate.

"I see you did your home work" Camila said, a serious look on her beautiful face.

"The pills were supposed to fully turn him into an omega. Then, taking more, it'll change him (Into an alpha), close his womb, change his scent and pheromones into that of an alpha's. Give him the abilities of an alpha" Dr Jones said.

"He would have gotten more than that. Those pills would have made him stronger than an alpha" Camila said, realizing his wife was talking too much, David silenced her.

"Enough"

"However,........his womb refused to close and that's why the pills never worked prefectly. That's why he never turned into an omega. And it only changed his scent and pheromones" Dr Jones said.

He really did his research before coming here.

Of course, his friend, who had more knowledge in these things (Betas born with wombs) helped.

A deep frown on her face, Camila said, "And I wonder why that happened. He took so many of those pills and his womb never closed! His womb should have closed! Disappeared from his damn body!"

"I guess the deities were helping him" Dr Jones said, smiling and angering Camila.

How......How she wanted to wipe that smile off his stupid face!

"I don't get it. So.....Even's a beta and has a womb. He's not omega" Lvan said.

"Damn right he's not! He's something that has no name! For centuries! No beta or alpha has been born with a womb! He's the only one! That makes him a freak!" David yelled out angrily.

"That makes him special" Tristan corrected him and Even looked at him, surprised and happy.

Thankful he had a friend like Tristan.

Staring at Tristan, a smile graced his face.

"You have no idea what we went through! We are respected! Honoured! Our reputations means a lot to us. Giving birth to the first child, everyone was eager to meet the first alpha child of the Truths Family, and it turned out......he wasn't an alpha. A beta with a womb! Do you know how ashamed we were to show our faces to people? We were embarrassed! Disgraced! He should have been an alpha! First borns should be alphas!!" Camila yelled out, glaring at Even.

The smile disappeared from his face and he looked down.

Once again, shaking in fear.

Ashamed.

Embarrassed.

Feeling like a closer!

A failure!

Even.....didn' dare raise up his head.

He didn' dare look at his mate (Devlin)

What was he thinking?

After all this, did he (Even) still want him?

Even was so afraid to find out.

'Pay no heed to your parents. Your—our mate will never leave us. He promised' his wolf tried to comfort him just like he has been doing since they smelled David and Camila's scent.

Even with what his wolf said, Even could still sense his fear.

His wolf was also afraid of their mate leaving them, just like he was.

"That's why you made Roy the first born. Cause he was an alpha" Lvan said, glaring at the two.

"And you know, no one knows what they'll be after birth. Even isn't the only beta with a womb. For all we know, there's more wolves like Even" Dr Jones said and Tristan continued,

"And some might have parents like you"

"This brat! I can see you have no manners! What did your parents teach you?!" Camila yelled at Tristan.

"My parents taught me nothing. But my brothers did teach me something. They also taught me to help people fit in the kind of shoes they deserve" Tristan replied with a smirk, annoying the two (David and Camila)

This boy was just so annoying!!

They (David and Camila) had to leave this forsaken place.

Now!!

Camila thought. 

"Even! Let's go!" She yelled at her son, taking action.

"He's going nowhere!" Devlin yelled out, his enchanting red eyes glowing. Claws not out but his fangs were.

Getting close to Even, totally forgetting Even's condition when he was close and ignoring Dr Jones words (Don't get close to him, stay away from him), Devlin took his mate's hand and dragged him out of there.

Everyone watched in shock while Tristan was smiling.

This was more like.

Devlin should have taken action earlier!

He (Tristan) thought, smiling.

"Devlin, Devlin, please let go of my hand" Even said, feeling weak, uncomfortable.

The medicine Dr Jones gave him before they made their way back here was helping a lot.

Even could see.

He wasn't feeling that hot but it was still hot!

Uncomfortable!

And he was feeling weak!

Dr Jones told him.

His mate's touch would awake the mating heat.

Just seeing his face or smelling his amazing scent could do that.

And that's why he should stay away from Devlin for some time.

Or else, he'll do something he'll regret later.

Even believed this.

Meeting his mate, he was going through heat like omegas does.

However, it wasn't exactly the same.

Dr Jones told him.

He (Dr Jones) didn' know how to explain it and promised to explain himself after he researches.

"Devlin, please" Even said, breathless, finding it hard to control himself.

Couldn't be.......the medicine was wearing off?

"Devlin!!" Even yelled out his name, panicking, gaining his attention.

Immediately, Devlin stopped in his tracks and slowly turned to face his mate (Even).

"I'm sorry" he said in guilt, letting go of Even's hand.

Goodness! He (Devlin) was so angry.

So annoyed!

So focused on getting out of there that he forgot about his mate.

His health.

So stupid of him!

"Is nothing" Even said, taking two steps away from him.

*Sigh, Devlin sighed in mind, when was this going to stop?!

When could he be close to his mate?

Touch him.

Hug him.

Without any problem!

Well,.......Devlin already knew the solution and he believe his mate (Even) knew it as well.

"Devlin......." Even called out to him and he looked up.

Devlin could see,......whatever it was that Even wanted to say,.....it was hard for him.

"Go on" Devlin encouraged him to, a smile on his face.

Deities! Why was he so good looking?!

And those lips......those lips!.......

Even thought, licking his lips as he stared at his (Devlin) lips.

Ahh!! Even yelled in mind, shaking his head as he thought,

*Clear throat, Even cleared his throat to find his lost voice, "T—Thank you" he said.

"For what?" Devlin asked gently, a smile on his face.

"For getting me out of there. It......It was unbearable" Even said, head lowered down.

"Why are you ashamed Even? Why are you embarrassed?" He asked and Even raised up his head, looking at him.

"Didn' you hear what they said?! I'm a beta born with a womb! Acts like omega but isn't one! I have no identity! I'm a freak!" Even said, devastated.

He was born with a womb.

A beta having a womb!

Even didn' know this!

All his life, he thought his parents were forcing him to take those pills because they wanted him as an alpha.

Because they wanted their first child to be an alpha.

But that wasn't exactly so.

Ashamed, embarrassed to show him around more.

To say he was their son, but that wasn't the only reason.

His parents were ashamed, embarrassed not only because he was the first born and was a beta but also because he had a womb and acts like omega.

Why wouldn't he be ashamed? Embarrassed? Among all his friends, he was the only one like this!

And.......

Even looked up at Devlin, tears, so much sadness in his eyes, he let out the words, "Is okay if you don't want me anymore. I'm not what you expected right? I'm a wolf, a beta, have a womb and I literally act like omega"

"You're right Even. You're not what I expected" Devlin said and Even felt more hurt.

His heart ached.

Felt like it was getting crashed.

It was so damn painful that he wanted the die.

And now, he knew exactly what those rejected by their mates felt.

It was so painful.

So painful.

Even, could not look Devlin in eyes.

He had his head bowed, waiting for the words, 'I can't accept you as my mate or I reject you'

Those kind of words! Will break the mating connection.

"You're a wolf, not the same kind as me. You're a beta, and I just found out you have a womb. I never had a problem with you being a beta. I never had a problem with you being a wolf. And right now........"

'Right now........' Deities! Even did not want to hear the next words!

He did not want to hear his mate say he reject him!

"And right now...........I don't care" Devlin completed his words.

Surprised, Even looked up at him with widened eyes.

What was he (Devlin) saying?!

"Even, I told you before, I only know you. I only know Even and I'll never leave his side. You could be whatever you want! No identity, different, I don't care Even. You're my mate. My mate, and I'll never let you go. No matter what" Devlin said, smiling.

Tears in his eyes, smiling, Even called out his name, "Devlin"

"The very moment I set my eyes on you, I vowed to never let you go. I knew you were different. Not my kind, but you're my mate. How can I let you go? I've been waiting for so long for you" 

Deities!

He was so happy to hear this!

So relief!

So glad!

What the heck did he do?

What did he do to deserve such a mate?!

Not all, not all would accept their mate after finding out this.

However, he did.

Devlin accepted him, just the way he was.

"Devlin I....." Even began but couldn't finish cause Devlin cut him off.

"Also, you have a womb. Meaning, you can have kids. I can be a dad. What's more precious than this? This is the second best gift I've gotten" Devlin said, smiling and he smiled back.

Gosh! His mate (Devlin) knew how to make him feel better.

He knew the exact words to make him feel better!

And.......hold on, did he say the second best gift he has gotten?

What was the second best gift?

And......

What was the first gift?

"Father!!" An unfamiliar voice yelled out, surprising both Even and Devlin.

Turning to Devlin's right and Even's left, they saw Josh, walking towards them with Fred and a little girl, holding Fred's hand.

The little girl looked seriously cute!

Even must say.

And she had long beautiful blonde hair and scarlet red eyes. Seemed to be at the age of five or six.

And she kept.......kept......kept smile at......kept smiling at

Devlin!

"Father!! I'm here!!" The little girl yelled out and Even, surprised, turned to look at Devlin.

That little girl.....that little girl was talking to his mate!

Devlin!

And she called him.....

Father!

"Harley!" Devlin called out to her, surprised.

That little girl was his daughter?!!!

Even thought, staring at Devlin in shock.
