Jake: What?! 50million dollars?

Author: No, wait, 70million dollars.

Jake: 70? How much do I get from this novel?

'Knock, Knock' a knock sounded out.

Lvan was taking care of the few paperworks when a sudden knock sounded.

The person behind the door wasn't in yet but Lvan already knew who it was.

He was a werewolf, one with excellent sense of smell and hearing.

He smelled who it was. And this person was none other than his mate, Tristan.

Lvan can smell him. So can he smell how worried, fearful he was.

What was going on?

"Come in, baby" lvan said, his tone, stating how worried he was for his mate.

Entering, Tristan closed the door behind him.

"What happened?" He asked but Tristan did not answer.

He silently walked into the room, taking a seat on one of the three couches in the room.

Seated, Tristan looked down, lost in thought while his mate stared at him, having all of his (Lvan) attention.

Tristan couldn't stop thinking about what Alan's friend July, said. Lvan's first ex wife, Mavis Cross was coming back. She was coming back for Alan.

After Alan heard this news, he rushed to his room, totally ignoring his friend and her plans to stay over.

He (Tristan) had to see her (July) out.

Moreover,.........he (Alan) locked himself in his room.

No matter what he (Tristan) said or did, the kid won't open the door.

That's why he was here, thinking Lvan might be able to help, however, he couldn't even open his mouth.

What should he say?

'Lvan, your ex wife is coming back and she's coming back for your son, Alan'

And then what?

What will happen?!

Gosh!! The deities knew, how scared he was. What would be Lvan's reaction? Alan's own (Reaction) wasn't good to see. 

Why? Why did everything have to be this complicated?! 

Now we know, there's no 'Happily Ever After'

And..... Why? Why did they divorce anyways? Till now, Lvan hasn't said anything and he was really curious to know. Why they divorced, why the woman left her son behind.

Tristan didn't think Lvan was the reason. The man was so kind, so good, so gentle, there was no way he was the reason.

And Mavis, he did not know the woman at all.

It was definitely her fault.

He could literally feel it from her (Mavis) name.

*Sigh, Tristan sighed, frustrated....... Damnnit!!

He still couldn't help but worry and these fears he was having..........

What if lvan left him for the woman because he can no longer give birth? Everyone wants a baby, right? And what if the woman use devious ways to get his mate and son back? He didn't think he can bear losing both his mate and son!

Deities!

All these fears......... He hope it never comes true.

"Baby........, Tristan what's wrong?" Tristan looked up at Lvan with a sad look, he watched as his mate rushed to his side, taking a seat closer to him, before taking his hand.

Gently caressing his taken hand, Lvan asked in a gentle tone, "What's wrong baby? Why do you look so sad?" Tristan was sad, he could see.

Lvan wanted to comfort Tristan but, he wanted to know what caused his mate's sadness before anything else.

Whoever it was, they were dead!

Author: You really like killing, huh?

'Ask again!' His wolf worriedly urged him to. Both of them, couldn't stand it when their mate was sad.

It was unbearable for them.

"Talk to me baby" lvan said again. This time, Tristan spoke and he did so only after a few seconds of silence.

"Your ex wife, Mavis, she's coming back"

"What?!!" Lvan exclaimed in shock while his wolf was burning with anger. That woman, she was coming back.

The woman who broke them into pieces, betrayed them. She was coming back.

After Mavis left, Lvan's heart broke into tiny pieces and he feel into depression. He never shed a tear but his wolf felt his sadness.

His wolf was sad as well.

They really loved that woman.

Lvan couldn't eat or drink. He only got a little better with his son's help. When he realised he had a son to take care.

And then, he got more than better when he found his true mate, Tristan. And now, what was he hearing? That woman was coming back?

For what?!

In the kitchen, Minna, Sandy and James were seated on the kitchen stools, watching Debby as she cooked. Debby was happily cooking and there was a very good reason for the mood she was in.

She was so happy that, she didn't even get annoyed at the fact that, she was doing all the work while the three— I mean, two people with nothing to do were just watching her.

You see, I excluded James because I don't want to have any problem with him. The old man can be scary sometimes. So scary that, even I'm afraid of him!

*Clear throat,

In any case, the reason why Debby was in a wonderful mood was because her children called today. Saying they'll be arriving tomorrow.

The two left the town they were in three days ago and will finally arrive tomorrow.

This was the reason why Debby was so happy. She meant, who wouldn't be? Who wouldn't be happy when their children whom they loved so much were coming to see them? And maybe, give them a chance to get to know each other better.

She was happy and nothing was going to change her mood.

"Guys, I overheard........" And before Minna could continue,

"You mean, eavesdropped" Sandy corrected her but Minna pay no heed to her.

She rolled her eyes and continued what she wanted to share,

"July telling Alan and Tristan that, Mavis is coming back" 

"What?!!!" Sandy, James and Debby exclaimed in shock.

Nothing was going to change her (Debby) mood...... Yeah, right! This news totally did!!

What were they going to do now?! That witch was going back and nothing good ever happens with her around!

"Alan......" Debby said sadly and they all looked down, looking sad. 

Debby wondered what the kid was going through. His own mother, who left him when he was just two, was now coming back.

"Alan didn't take it well. He left right after he heard this news from July. He didn't even see his friend off. Tristan did"

"Tristan....." Debby said sadly, again.

Tristan, she (Debby) wondered what he was going through as well. Was he taking it well?

His mate's ex wife was coming back after all.

Deities, what a disaster this was! Why now?

Why was she coming back now?

"Listen to me baby" Lvan said gently. His mate has already told him everything July shared. His ex wife was coming back and she claimed, she was coming back for Alan.

His mate didn't have to worry because she was never getting their (Lvan and Tristan) son back.

Everything, Lvan will do everything to keep their son.

"Whether Mavis comes here or not, it will not change anything. It won't change our relationship either. You're my mate and I'm in love with you. No matter what happens, I will always choose you. You're mine, so is Alan. Alan is ours" lvan assured Tristan and with a smile, he nodded.

Tristan trusted lvan, he trusted his words and what he just said was like a promise to him.

Lvan will never leave him.

"Come here" Lvan said, arms opened, smiling.

Smiling back, Tristan hugged him and he hugged him back.
