Morning (Around 11am)

"Okay, so, let's get this straight" Lvan said

In the office, he sat behind the desk. Even and Tristan seated on the office chairs before him.

Carlos and Josh behind Even and Tristan.

The guy just came back after dropping off Dr Jerin and thanking his pack leader again.

Hasn't eaten.

Hasn't taken his shower.

Hasn't even gotten a hug from his mate!

The moment he stepped into the house, he was told (By Minna) Even was here and he was in the office with his mate, Josh and Carlos.

He went there!

Impatient to see his friend (Even)

Didn't even get to sit when his mate dropped the huge bomb on him.

"Devlin, the vampire is your mate" he said, pointing a finger at Even.

Blushing, Even looked down, smiling as he nodded.

Seriously!

Who was this?!

This was not his friend!

'You looked the same when you met Tristan' his wolf said and a disgusting look graced his handsome face.

That's stupid!

He looked this stupid?!

"I still can't wrap my big head around this" Carlos said, shaking his head.

Turning to his (Carlos) direction, Lvan asked, "And why are you here?"

Well, James has taken a liken to Fred so he was watching over him.

And Devlin was in the living room with Jeol.

The two had people watching over them.

Meaning, he (Carlos) was free.

"Everything is sorted" he (Carlos) answered.

"And Rex left yesterday. James took him" Tristan dropped another huge bomb on him.

"What?!" He (Lvan) exclaimed in shock.

"He did not tell me" he (Lvan) said and Tristan replied,

"He did not say goodbye to anyone. Just left with his bags. I had to tell everyone (Jeol, Jake, Mandy, Sandy, Minna, Debby and Even) he left"

"James should have called and told me everything" Lvan said, annoyed.

"Don't blame him" Tristan said.

"And why did you let him go?" Lvan asked him (Tristan), annoyed and his tone said it too.

Okay, he (Tristan) did not like his tone.

A deep frown on his face, Tristan answered, "He didn' look good. Looked like he was dealing with something and wanted some time alone"

*Sigh, Lvan sighed, trying to calm down, "I see" he (Lvan) said.

"Did he tell you anything?" Tristan asked.

"No, and I believe what he's going through has something to do with Rid Pack. Maybe he saw something or experienced something bad, I don't know he just won't say it" Lvan replied. He tried to get it out of his brother but failed.

Rex was just so stubborn and won't say a word!

"I see" Tristan replied.

Looking up at Even, Lvan asked, "So, Even, are you sure about this?"

Knowing what he meant, Even answered,

"Lvan, he's my mate. Having him in my life means I won't have to go through that illness again. I can't lose him. I want him. Doesn't matter what he is, I want him"

*Sigh, Lvan sighed again, accepting defeat.

"Fine" he (Lvan) replied.

Guess there was nothing he (Lvan) could do.

Rejecting your mate was nothing like rejecting your favorite food.

There was consequences.

That's if your heart, and wolf didn' belong to someone else already.

"Also,........  am sorry for not telling you that am a beta. I'm sorry for hiding it. I was afraid" Even said, head lowered down in guilt.

Smiling, Lvan said, "Don't be. Just don't take those pills again. Please"

"I won't" Even answered looking up at him (Lvan), a smile on his face.

"So, what do you know about your mate? Cause it looks like he know a lot about us" Lvan said,  serious look on his face.

"Us?" Even asked, confused.

"Yes. He knows about the trades, the pills, everything. But we don't know anything about him" Lvan said.

Devlin knew more than they did, however, he won't say a word.

"Well, we talked last night but we didn't talk much about him" Even said.

He (Even) really wanted to know more Devlin but never asked.

All they (He and Devlin) talked concerned him.

"You talked all night and you found nothing?" Tristan said, surprised.

How was that even possible?!

"Who said we talked all night? Wasn't even an hour and then he went back" Even answered.

"He didn' sleep with you?" Lvan asked, surprised.

"Lvan!" Even yelled out his name, glaring at him.

"What are you thinking? I mean sleep in your house. Maybe in your room and on the same bed" Lvan said.

"Nothing like that happened. I......I want to take things slow. Get to know him more" Even said.

"He's your mate" Lvan said and Even replied,

"Doesn't mean I have to jump on him"

"For some reason that kind of hurt" Tristan said, recalling his meeting with Lvan.

"Sorry Tristan" Even said.

"Well, find out. Colten and Chris are coming back. They'll get here in the evening. Sebastian, Corey and Zane went to Cidna pack to rescue Cabby, the omegas and the betas and the human" Lvan said.

He (Lvan) still thought it wasn't a good idea.

Sebastian and Corey just got recused.

Weren't in a perfect shape.

But they still went on the mission.

Lvan was worried about them (Sebastian and Corey)

"Devlin said he knew every corner of Cidna Pack. Shouldn't we include him" Tristan said, surprising Even.

He did?

Even didn't know this.

Looks like his mate was hiding a lot from him.

"You're right. I'll talk to him" Lvan said.

"Lvan" Even called out his name, gaining his attention.

Looking at him (Even), Lvan asked, "Yes?"

"I want to live with Devlin" Even announced.

"What?!" Carlos screamed out surprised.

Lvan was not surprised to hear this.

Devlin was Even's mate, so definitely, he'll like to stay with hinm.

"I'll keep an eye on him. Whatever you want I'll do it. Just let us stay together" Even pleaded.

Without a second thought, Lvan agreed, "Okay"

Lvan had no problem with this.

However, he believed the pack won't feel the same.

It just wasn't possible.

They hated vampires.

In the living room, Jeol sat on one of the couches opposite the ones Devlin sat on.

"I know you" Jeol said and Devlin replied,

"So do I" smiling.

Surprised, Jeol asked, "How do you know me?"

"I saw you" Devlin replied.

Saw him?

Where?

How?!

Jeol asked himself, confused and curious to know more.

"My friend would use magic on me and I would appear beside Even. He can't see me but could hear me. Sense me, feel me. Only he could" Devlin said.

"I saw you in my dreams. I told Even about you"

Smiling, Devlin said, "Yes, he told me last night" and also about Kel.

"And.......you knew what I am"

"But I didn't tell him because I was afraid. What if he rejected you just because you're a vampire"

"That's not all. I can see it in your eyes" Devlin said, a smile on his face.

"Yes. I know all about you and I don't judge you. Surely, Even will understand everything when he learn of it. You're his mate, the cure to his illness. He won't let you go" Jeol said.

"I hope so, cause I hurt his pack" Devlin said, looking guilty.

If only..... If only he did not.......

*Sigh, it was all his fault.

"Not your fault" Jeol said, like he heard his thoughts.

Devlin didn' believe that. 

He still blamed himself.

Right then, Tristan, Josh, Carlos, Lvan and Even showed up.

"You guys know each other already" Tristan said and they (Devlin and Jeol) turned to look at them.

Meeting eyes, Even and Devlin smiled at each other, blushing.

Okay, this was just too much for Lvan!

Taking a seat on a couch with his mate (Tristan), Carlos and Josh took behind them (Lvan and Tristan) and they watched as Even took a seat beside Jeol.

Devlin seated alone.

"Won't you sit beside your mate?" Tristan asked, smirking when Even took a seat beside Jeol.

"Enough Tristan" Even said, ears red, head lowered down.

He was so embarrassed.

So cute!

Tristan did not know Even could be this cute!

"Devlin" Lvan called out to him and he (Devlin) looked up at him.

"You said you know every corner of Cidna Pack, right?"

"Yes" he (Devlin) answered.

"My friends are going to rescue some people there. Can you tell me what you know?" He (Lvan) asked and they looked at Devlin.

"Sure" he (Devlin) answered him before sharing what he knew.

"Cidna pack has many hidden passages to the underground, where they do their shady business. But they're all heavily guarded"

"The pack members have no clue of what their alpha is doing, right?" Lvan asked and he (Devlin) answered,

"Yes, they don't know. Every month, if given new people, they would take them in the middle of the night. Around 1am when everyone is asleep. They already know the people they've gotten. Names, what they look like, number, they know everything"

"Then, they can't use that route to get in" Tristan said.

"But then,.........there's only one way to get in. I can help" Devlin said.

Hopeful, they smiled,

"But I want something before I share anything else" Devlin said, surprising them.

Oh, was he showing his true colours now?

Lvan thought, annoyed.

"I want to stay with Even, my mate, in the same house" Devlin said, surprising them again.

Even stared at him, surprised, happy.

So, he (Even) wasn't the only one.

Devlin wanted the same.

That's great.

"Is a done deal" Lvan replied, smiling.

Guess it wasn't what he (Lvan) was thinking after all.

"I have a witch friend, Mily. She's really powerful and she can cast a spell on the town. Everyone will fall asleep and then you can do whatever you want" Devlin said.

This Mily must be the one who helped his mate (Devlin) get into contact with him (Even)

"That's great" Tristan exclaimed, happy to hear this.

"But the spell lasts for only 30minutes" Devlin said.

He has witnessed this before.

Mily was the reason why he escaped that place.

Casting this spell on the people, everyone fell asleep and she helped him escape.

Mily was a good witch, a good friend and he was certain she'll help them 

"Is more than enough. Corey knows where everyone is" Lvan said.

"What about Cabby? And......And Andrews?" Tristan asked, worried about the two.

"They'll find them, don't worry" Lvan assured his mate, holding his hand.

Smiling, Tristan nodded, hoping his mate was right.

"Then,.......I'll call my friend" Devlin said and Lvan nodded,

"I'll do the same" he (Lvan) said.

"Jeol, are you okay?" Tristan asked, noticing how quiet Jeol was.

"Oh, yes. I'm fine" Jeol replied, not sparing him (Tristan) a glance.

He (Jeol) had his head down, thinking about something he (Tristan) had no idea of.

Tristan was worried about him (Jeol).

What exactly was he thinking?

Was he alright?
