EMMA
Lexis leans down and swipes her tongue over her bite, licking up the blood that managed to trickle down my neck before my healing stopped the bleeding. She then walks over to the door and pulls something on the wall there, making my arms stretch out above me even more.
Lexis then exits the cell, wraps her arm around the Master and then closes the door, plunging me into the darkness. I let out a small sob and turn to Odette.
"Odette?"
I feel her try to shift and then her soft voice in my head,
"I'm sorry, Emma. These cuffs must have a very small amount of silver within them. I can't do anything..."
I don't know how long I was in the darkness. I flinch at the sound of the door unlocking. I then shut my eyes and turn my head quickly as the door opens and light floods my cell. It takes a little while before my eyes adjust and I can open them without squinting. I turn, lift my head and look at who entered my cell.<

JEREMIAH I am startled awake by a very angry Lexis. She comes storming into the bedroom yelling, “What did you do with her? EMMAI then hear another little whimper and look down into the crib again and smile as I adjust the angel in my arms and then reach down, picking up the other bundle. I then look over to the side and see that there is a rocking chair. I move slowly and with Odette’s low growl in my head; I sat down.I rocked the chair slightly as I looked down at the bundles in my arms. EMMA Kane gets to his feet and walks over to crouch down in front of me. I flinch a little as he reaches his hand up, expecting him to hit me. EMMA I take a few deep breaths in. I jump and turn when I feel a hand on my shoulder. Ali gives me a sorry look and nods toward the door. I nod in return, as it is time to go. I reluctantly let go of the shirt and follow Ali out of the closet through the bedroom and sitting room, stopping at the door. We listen and Ali places two light taps on the door. It then opens to reveal Benjamin. He whispers, “Did you get what you needed?” Ali nods her head, he smiles and then whispers in return, “Quickly, Matt just linked me. Lexis’s meeting finished early, and she is on her way.” We quickly move past him, and then he falls into step behind us after closing the door. We walk down this hall and then that hall, seeming to duck around all the servant’s that were most likely to tell Lexis that they saw us. EMMAKane holds up his hands and lowers his tone as he takes small slow steps toward me as he says,“Em, relax… It’s okay… Em, listen to me… It’s okay, relax…”He continues to approach me. EMMAIt takes everything in me to not fall back and walk by his side where I would normally be walking. We enter the castle and I look around, amazed. I never got to see this part of the castle. Being a servant, there were places that we were completely forbidden to go unless we were part of the service that was responsible for that location.I watched all the glamorously dressed females and all the smartly dressed males as they made their way through the entry of the castle and headed into a very large room. Once we entered, I could see the thrones sitting at the other end on a slightly raised stage. Off to the side was a dais, as well as two clear vitrines.I don’t know how, but I somehow lost both Ali and Finn; I walk slowly closer to the thrones and look at the vitrines. One had the King and Queen’s crowns within the other had some sort of sceptre and sword, both were covered in beautiful red gems.
