Elena’s POV
“Elena, Elena” He tried to get a hold of me as I quickly walked out of his living room. His guards and househelps were all looking at us like we just started a movie. “Please let me explain myself.” He grabbed my hand. “Explain yourself? Why?” I scoffed looking at him with disinterest. “About me not being honest with you. I’m sorry.” He lowered his head, feeling guilty and I smirked. “You have nothing to apologize for, Mr Alex. I am a hopeless girl who you came through for”. I spilled bluntly. “Elena, please stop sounding this way. Okay, fine I didn’t want to tell you anything about me yet because you were not at the right place to listen to me and I was so worried about you.”He said dolefully. “You owe me no explanation and I don’t believe you. I'm so sorry for disturbing you with my problems. Live your life the way you want to without thinking about me in any way but I have to leave this house and please don’t stop me”. I shunned him. “Trust me, Elena”. He didn’t let me go and I turned my back on him. “Yeah I didn’t get to tell you about me but it wasn’t intentional, you are not a problem to me in any way whatever I did for you, I did it because I wanted to and I care for you I had no idea that you will get this upset”. He shook his head and I looked guilty for acting that way towards him. “I’m sorry Alex, I shouldn’t have been so harsh towards you. I just got upset and felt like you lied to me. Please stop feeling bad, you did not do anything wrong to me.” I uttered with regret. “Hey, stop being naughty”. He teased me. “You don’t need to apologize for any reason because you did nothing wrong. You just expressed how you felt about me not being completely honest with you and I promise you that it won’t happen again”. Alex assured me. “Thanks, Alex”. I responded with a smile on my face. Alex’s house was so big and his employees looked so neat I sat down in my room smiling and thinking of how lucky I was to have met Alex when I needed a helper. “Indeed I am lucky”, I whispered. “Please come in”. I uttered as I heard a knock on my door “Good Evening ma’am”. One of the employees greeted me. “Good evening dear, do you need anything?” I questioned her with curiosity. “Please ma’am, I came to inform you that dinner is ready. Would you like to join Mr Alex at the dining table or do you want me to serve you inside your room?” She asked politely. “Don’t worry I will join Alex soon, let me just dress up.” I glanced at her “Okay, ma’am”. She responded politely and left. “Wow, this is lit”. I jumped up and down on my bed. I never thought I would smile again after all the trauma that Mrs Caroline and her husband had put me through. I was so happy that I forgot about going to eat dinner with Alex. Immediately I heard a knock on my door. “Seems like someone is not hungry tonight”. He teased me with smiles all over his face. “Oh no I’m so sorry I forgot. I was about to dress my hair though because it looked messy”. I lied. “It’s fine already, let's go and eat. The food is getting cold. Shall we?” He stretched out his hand as I placed mine on top. “Yes, sure”. I winked at him and we burst into laughter. “It was a stressful and great day for me. I just need to rest my head and see what tomorrow has stalled for me”. I murmured as I lay on my bed. “Good morning princess”, Alex whispered in my ear. “Good morning Alex”, I responded as I stretched my arms. “Seems like you forgot to lock your door?” He asked softly. “Really? Did I?” I realized that it was not a dream as I jumped up. “Oh no, I forgot. After a long time, I finally had a great sleep. I uttered, scrubbing my eyes. “You needed it. Even if you leave your door open a lot of people will guide you like the princess you are”. He chuckled softly “Thanks, Alex”. I responded trying not to make it obvious that I was shy. “Okay then, freshen up and come downstairs for breakfast”. He scoffed and left. “Omg, Alex is so sweet”. I spilled ridiculously as my face turned red because I was blushing. “Did you prepare this meal yourself?” I asked him with surprise. “Nope, Klara did”. He uttered without looking at my face. “Who is Klara?” I asked him. “Oh, Klara is my chef.” He responded. “Oh that’s nice. The food tastes nice thou”. I complimented with a smile. “So Elena, can you go to a business meeting with me?” Alex bluntly asked me. “A business meeting? Where? Won’t it be inconvenient and awkward for you?” I asked continuously. “Not at all”. He smiled. “I wanted you to come with me so it simply means it won’t be inconvenient for me”. He assured me. “So when are we going for the meeting?” I rolled my eyes. “This evening”, and don’t worry about your outfit, I already told Klara to bring them upstairs to your room”. He winked at me. “So my princess, go and get ready”. He smiled and left. “Omg, Alex is so sweet,” I murmured and went back to my room. I went back to my room and saw a pretty long sequin gown on my bed. It was glittering and my heels were looking like that of a princess. “Wow, this looks so expensive”. I murmured to myself. I quickly dressed up as it was already getting late. I was ready to go outside as I opened the door and saw Alex. He stared at me for a long time without blinking until I broke the silence. “Hey Alex, you are here”, I asked. He nodded still staring at me. “Y..e..s.. Shall we?” He stammered. “Yes, sure”. I led the way and he followed me. We got to a very big hotel. It was so fine and I couldn’t stop admiring the place. Alex and I went inside the hotel hall and the whole place was decorated with flowers and balloons. I was surprised because Alex said it was a business meeting. “Alex, what is happening here?” I asked with surprise. “Elena, from the very first day I met you, I became attracted to you, your character, your sense of reasoning and everything about you and as time went on I noticed how important you have become to me and can boldly say that I love you”. Alex paused and looked at me with my eyes rolling with confusion then he continued. “Please Elena, “Will you be my girlfriend?”. Alex asked me. He looked at me his voice was so soft and smooth.Elena’s POV “Will you be my girlfriend?” He asked again, his eyes filled with hope and expectation. I stood there, speechless and confused as Alex’s words hung in the air.I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Alex, the kind and generous man who had taken me in and cared for me, wanted to be my boyfriend? It was too much to process.“Elena, please say something”, Alex urged, his smile starting to falter. But I couldn’t speak. My mind was racing with thoughts and emotions, and I couldn’t form a coherent sentence.Just then, a voice behind us interrupted the moment. “Alex, what’s going on here?”We turned to see a woman standing in the doorway, her eyes narrowed and her arms crossed.“Rachel what are you doing here?” Alex asked, his tone firm but polite.“I could ask you the same thing”, Rachel replied, her eyes flicking to me. “Who is this…girl?”Alex hesitated, and I could see the conflict in his eyes. “Elena, this is Rachel,my business partner. Rachel, this is Elena, my…friend. Rachel
Elena’s POV"What's behind there?" I asked,my voice barely above a whisper. My heart raced as Alex led me towards the mysterious door.Alex smiled, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "You'll see," he said, his voice low and mysterious. "Just trust me, Elena."I hesitated, unsure if I should proceed. But Alex's enthusiasm was infectious, and my curiosity got the better of me. I nodded, and Alex pushed open the door, revealing a room that took my breath away. The room was dimly lit, with soft music playing in the background. The walls were adorned with beautiful artwork, and the floor was covered with a plush carpet that felt like silk under my feet. But what caught my attention was the centerpiece of the room: a beautiful grand piano, shining like a jewel in the soft light."Wow," I breathed, my eyes fixed on the piano. "This is incredible."Alex smiled, his eyes shining with pride. "I'm glad you like it," he said, walking towards the piano. "I have a surprise for you."And with that,
Elena’s POV Alex, how could you keep this from me? I asked,my voice shaking with anger and hurt. "How could you lie to me about something so important?"I shook my head, trying to process this new information. An ex-wife? It explained so much - the tension between them, the way Rachel seemed to know Alex's secrets.Alex sighed and rubbed his temples. "I know I should have told you, Elena. But I was scared. I didn't want to lose you."I laughed, a bitter sound. "You're losing me now," I said. "How can I trust you after this?"Alex took a step forward, his eyes pleading. "Elena, please understand. My marriage to Rachel was a mistake. It was a long time ago, and it didn't mean anything. I was young and stupid, and I didn't know what I wanted."I raised an eyebrow. "You were young and stupid? That's no excuse. You're still keeping secrets from me, Alex. How can I believe that you're telling me the truth now?"Alex hesitated, and for a moment, I thought I saw a glimmer of fear in his eyes
Elena’s POV “Let’s start with small things”, I said, my voice firm but gentle. “No more secrets, no more lies. From now on, we’re honest with each other, no matter what”.Alex nodded his eyes locked on mine. “I promise Elena. I’ll be transparent about everything. My past, my present, my future. It’s all yours to know “.I nodded, a small smile on my lips. “Good. Because I want to know everything about you Alex. The good, the bad, the ugly. I want it all”.Alex’s face lit up with a relieved smile. “I’m ready to share it all with you, Elena. Let’s start with my past, with Rachel…“No,” I interrupted, my hand up. “Not yet. I’m not ready for that. But I am ready to know more about your life now, your interests, your dreams … the things that make you who you are”.Alex’s face softened, his eyes warm with understanding. “Okay Elena. I understand. Let’s start with something simple then. What do you want to know?”I thought for a moment before asking, “What’s your favorite hobby?”Alex’s fa
As we pulled back from our passionate kiss, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness. I never imagined that I would fall in love with a stranger who came through for me at my lowest."Alex," I said, my voice barely above a whisper. "I want to try something new with you. Let’s try something fun”.I said with excitement.Alex's eyes lit up with curiosity. "What did you have in mind, Elena?"I smiled mischievously. "I want to take a cooking class with you. Something that will challenge us and force us to work together. I know how lazy you can be when it comes to cooking. I mockingly told him.Alex chuckled. "Cooking, huh? I like the way you think, Elena. But I think I cook better than you”. He teased me. “So when do we start?"I grinned, feeling a spark of excitement. "How about this weekend? I've already found a class that sounds perfect for us."Alex nodded, his eyes shining with enthusiasm. "I'm in. Let's do it."As we signed up for the cooking class, I couldn't h
“I wanted to give you something so special, something that symbolizes our love and connection”. Alex said, his eyes shining with emotions. As Alex opened the small box, my heart raced with anticipation. Instead of a ring, he revealed a beautiful customized necklace with our names, "Alex" and "Elena", intricately engraved on a golden pendant. I felt a bit disappointed. Maybe I was thinking too much, I thought. I was taken aback by the thoughtfulness and beauty of the necklace. "It's stunning, Alex," I whispered, my voice trembling. Alex smiled and gently placed the necklace around my neck. "You look beautiful wearing it, Elena. It's a reminder of the love we share, and I hope you'll wear it always." As I touched the pendant, I felt a deep sense of love and belonging. The necklace was more than just a gift – it was a symbol of our journey, our memories, and our triumphs. "Thank you, Alex," I said, my voice filled with gratitude. "This means the world to me." Alex's eyes locke
Elena’s POV“What is it, Elena?” Alex asked me. He followed my gaze, his eyes scanning through the area.I hesitated, my heart racing. “That figure looks like there’s someone there.Alex’s eyes locked onto mine. “Who’s there?“It looks like Bonnie," I responded with uncertainty.“Who is Bonnie?” Alex asked in confusion.Bonnie is my childhood friend, I’m not certain yet it just looks like her. I responded, still trying to look closer.“Your childhood friend?” Alex asked me.I nodded, my mind racing with memories of our past. We had been inseparable growing up, sharing secrets and dreams. But life had taken us in different directions and we lost in touch. As we approached, Bonnie stepped forward,a bright smile on her face. “Elena! Oh my gosh, it’s been ages.I felt a rush of excitement and nostalgia. "Bonnie! I can't believe it's you!"We embraced warmly, laughing and chattering like no time had passed at all. Alex smiled, watching us with amusement."I can't believe we ran into each o
Elena POV"Of course," I replied, my heart skipping a beat."Do you believe in fate?" Alex asked, his eyes searching mine.I pondered the question, thinking about the twists and turns that had brought us together. "I think I do," I said finally. "I believe that some things are meant to be and that we were meant to find each other."Alex smiled, his eyes shining with warmth. "I believe that too," he said. "I feel like I've found my home in you, Elena."My heart melted at his words, and I knew at that moment that I felt the same way. We stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, feeling like we were exactly where we were meant to be.Alex and I decided to take a walk since we were feeling bored at home. Alex and I walked hand in hand along the beach, the warm sand beneath our feet. The sky was painted with hues of orange and pink, a breathtaking sunset unfolding before our eyes."Elena, from the moment I met you, I knew you were special," Alex said, his voice filled with emotion. "You l
Elena’s POV The atmosphere in the dimly lit room was thick with tension. Daniel and I had dressed up and arrived at the reserved apartment, anticipating a confrontation. As we walked into the room where Phila had arranged everything, Daniel’s face froze in shock. There, sitting calmly, was Alex.Daniel blinked, disbelief in his eyes. "Alex? What are you doing here?"Alex slowly turned, a smirk playing on his lips. "You told me to come, remember? You texted me."Daniel’s confusion deepened. "No, I didn’t! I never texted you."I couldn’t help but enjoy the unraveling drama. With a sly smile, I crossed my legs and leaned back. "Wow, Daniel, I’m impressed. You’re truly something. But let me clear the air—I did the texting. I needed you both here. After all, birds of the same feather…"Daniel, pale and anxious, stood up and grabbed my arm. "Elena, please, I can explain—"Before he could finish, my hand flew across his face, delivering a stinging slap. "Explain? Explain what, Daniel? The f
Elena’s POV I walked into the house, feeling a sense of exhaustion wash over me. I had been running on adrenaline for weeks, and it was finally catching up with me. I decided to take a nap, hoping to clear my head and recharge. As I lay in bed, I couldn't shake off the feeling of doubt that had been lingering in my mind. What was Daniel hiding? And why was he being so secretive? But for now, I pushed those thoughts aside and focused on rest. I slept for a few hours, waking up feeling slightly better. When I walked into the living room, Daniel was sitting on the couch, watching TV. He smiled when he saw me, and I forced a smile back."Hey, how was your day?" he asked, patting the couch next to him.I sat down, trying to act normal. "It was fine. Just tired."Daniel put his arm around me, pulling me close. "You've been working too hard. You need to take it easy."I nodded, feeling a sense of unease. I didn't want to be close to him right now, not when I had so many doubts. But I didn't
Elena’s POV I smiled, a plan forming in my mind. "Phila, I need your help. I want you to keep an eye on Daniel's moves, and see if you can find out what he's up to."Phila's eyes widened, intrigued. "You mean, spy on him?"I nodded. "Exactly. I'm about to make a big decision, and I need to be sure of what I'm doing. If Daniel's hiding something, I need to know."Phila grinned mischievously. "I'm on it. I'll dig up everything I can find."I smiled, feeling a sense of relief. "Thanks, Phila. I knew I could count on you."Phila nodded. "Don't worry, Elena. We'll get to the bottom of this. And if Daniel's hiding something, we'll expose him."I nodded, determination coursing through my veins. "Let's do it."Phila pulled out her phone and started typing away. "I'll start by hacking into his phone records, see if he's been in contact with anyone suspicious."I raised an eyebrow. "You can do that?"Phila winked. "I have my ways. Leave it to me, Elena. I'll uncover everything."I smiled and h
Elena’s POV The next morning, I walked into the office, still thinking about Daniel's proposal. Phila noticed the look on my face and asked, "Hey, what's up? You look deep in thought."I sat down at my desk and filled her in on Daniel's suggestion. "He wants us to merge our properties and make him the sole owner," I said, watching for her reaction.Phila's expression turned thoughtful. "That's a big decision," she said. "What do you think about it?"I shrugged. "I don't know. That's why I'm asking for your opinion."Phila leaned back in her chair, steepling her fingers together. "If I were to advise you, I'd say keep your property to yourself."I raised an eyebrow. "Why?"Phila's expression turned serious. "You can't trust anybody, Elena. Especially when it comes to something you've worked hard for. You know what Uncle Smith tried to do to you. What if Daniel...?"I held up a hand, stopping her. "Daniel would never do that to me. He loves me."Phila's expression softened. "I know he
Elena’s POV I stood tall, looking at Mr. and Mrs. Smith with a sense of satisfaction. "You have two days to leave this house," I said, my voice firm. "After that, I'll be changing the locks and taking possession of my property."Mrs. Caroline's eyes welled up with tears, while Mr. Smith's face turned red with rage. But I just smiled, feeling a sense of triumph."I'm done here," I said, turning to leave. "Enjoy your last night in my apartment."Phila followed me out, closing the door behind us. "You were amazing in there," she said, grinning.I smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. "Thanks, Phila. I couldn't have done it without you."As we walked away from the house, I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and accomplishment. I had taken back what was mine, and I had done it with style."Let's go celebrate," Phila said, linking her arm through mine.I nodded, smiling. "Definitely. I think we've earned it."We walked off into the night, ready to start our new life together
Elena’s POV The next day, Phila and I walked into the bank, confident and determined. We were greeted by Mr. Johnson, who looked nervous and anxious."Good morning, ladies," he said, trying to force a smile.I smiled sweetly, enjoying the power dynamic. "Good morning, Mr. Johnson. Thank you for meeting us here today."We walked into the bank manager's office, where all the necessary documents were laid out on the table. Mr. Johnson hesitated, looking at the papers as if he was about to sign away his soul."Is everything in order?" the bank manager asked, looking at Mr. Johnson expectantly.Mr. Johnson nodded, his hand trembling as he signed the documents. Phila and I exchanged a triumphant glance, knowing that this was the final step in our plan."Thank you, Mr. Johnson," I said, taking the signed documents from him. "You've been a great help."Mr. Johnson looked like he was about to cry, but I just smiled and patted him on the back. "Don't worry, Mr. Johnson. You'll be rewarded for
Elena’s POVMr. Johnson's face went white, his eyes wide with fear. "I won't, Elena. I promise. I'll do whatever you say."I leaned forward, my voice dropping to a whisper. "Good. Because I'm not the Elena you used to know. I'm something more now. Something worse."Phila raised an eyebrow, a small smile playing on her lips. "I think that's enough, don't you, Elena?"I nodded, standing up. "Yes. Let's get out of here. Mr. Johnson, your family will be brought to you before night falls. Enjoy your reunion."With that, we turned and walked away, leaving Mr. Johnson shaken and subdued. We walked into the office, and I turned to Phila. "Book an appointment with my uncle, Mr. Smith. Tell him the form is ready."Phila nodded, her fingers flying across her phone's keyboard. "Consider it done. What time do you want me to meet with him?"I thought for a moment. "How about 2 pm? That gives you enough time to go over everything with him."Phila nodded, sending the text. "Done. Mr. Smith will meet
Elena’s POVI trudged through the front door, feeling exhausted from the day's events. Phila and I had called it a day, and I was looking forward to a quiet night in.I took a long, hot shower, trying to wash away the stress and tension of the day. As I got dressed, I heard my stomach growling and headed downstairs to see what was for dinner.Just as I was about to sit down, my phone rang. I hesitated for a moment before answering it."Hello?" I said, expecting it to be Phila or maybe even Mr. Johnson."Elena, it's Detective James," a deep voice said on the other end of the line. "I'm afraid I have some bad news. Alex has escaped from custody."My heart skipped a beat as I felt a surge of fear. "What? How did that happen?""We're not entirely sure yet," Detective James replied. "But we're working on it. In the meantime, I need you to be careful. If Alex is on the loose, you could be in danger."I felt a chill run down my spine as I thought about Alex being out there, possibly coming f
Elena’s POVWe arrived at the coffee shop and sat down in a quiet corner. Phila raised an eyebrow. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"I shrugged. "Maybe a little. But it's necessary."As we waited, Mr. Johnson walked in, looking frantically around the coffee shop. His eyes landed on us, and he paled."Elena?" he whispered, his voice trembling. "What's going on? Why are you doing this?"I smiled, gesturing for him to sit down. "Let's just say I'm taking matters into my own hands, Mr. Johnson. And you're going to help me."Mr. Johnson sat down, his eyes darting back and forth between Phila and me. "What do you need, Elena?" he asked, his voice cautious.I smiled, leaning forward. "I need you to help me, Mr. Johnson. Just like you helped my uncle throw me out of the house."Mr. Johnson's expression turned cold. "I don't know what you're talking about," he said, but I could see the guilt written all over his face.I laughed, a harsh sound. "Don't play dumb, Mr. Johnson. I know all about
