Elena’s POV

Daniel's expression suddenly changed from serious to playful, and he said, "Gotcha! I was just kidding, Elena. I don't want you to stress about this. You already look worn out."

I felt a mix of relief and annoyance. "Daniel, that's not funny. I was really worried."

He walked over to me and wrapped his arms around me. "I know, I know. I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to worry about it anymore. You've been stressed out enough lately."

I leaned into his embrace, feeling a bit better. "Just be honest with me, okay? I can handle it."

Daniel nodded, his eyes locked on mine. "I promise. No more joking about it. We'll figure it out together."

I smiled, feeling a sense of gratitude towards him. "Thanks, Daniel. That means a lot to me."

We hugged for a moment longer, and then Daniel said, "Now, how about we order some dinner and relax? You can tell me more about your day."

I nodded, feeling a sense of relief wash over me. Maybe everything would be okay after all.
