Elena’s POV

As we sat on the couch, flipping through travel brochures, Daniel turned to me with an excited grin. "So, where do you want to go for our honeymoon?"

I forced a smile, trying to push aside the lingering doubts and worries. "Somewhere beautiful and relaxing," I said, trying to sound enthusiastic.

Daniel nodded, his eyes scanning the brochures. "How about Bora Bora? Or the Maldives?"

I nodded, feeling a sense of detachment. "Either one sounds great."

Daniel looked up at me, his expression concerned. "Hey, is everything okay? You seem a little...distracted."

I hesitated, not wanting to upset him. "I'm just a little tired, that's all," I said, trying to brush it off.

Daniel nodded, but his eyes lingered on mine as if he knew I was hiding something.
