Rejected Again

Rejected again 

" I am Arabella,the future leader and great white Wolf of the white crystal pack ,the next in line to my great grandmother being the only child of our bloodline , accept me goodness" I began dancing but still nothing happened ,my crown wasn't blessed by her white light which was expected to shine bright and locate me ...

" What on Earth is going on "I screamed so loud , hurting the ears of my great-grandmother.

I spranged up immediately from my bed , swearing profusely " thank goodness it was only a dream , she would.never do that to.me , she would never reject me for a second time "..I looked at my stupid alarm wondering why it hadn't woken me up earlier, and then ,i remembered I had actually spoilt it the last time it rang by hitting it so hard.

It's been three days now , three days since that incident, since I got lost in the Forest and met him , for the first two days I kept thinking about him and his words , I think he's right ,I should have been greatful instead of being so scared of him or hurting him with my words ,but after the third day ,I decided to forget all about him . It isn't like we would meet again another day .

When I was seven ,my grand mother had told me stories of the blood pack and made me believe they were the most dangerous,not only that , the most powerful...since then I became so scared of them ,and never for once wanted to meet any one of them 

Neither did I tell my great-grandmother all.that happened that day , I looked at the part of my leg which had gotten injured on that day and truly I felt impressed 

I could remember my great-grandmother telling me how jack had cried so much that day , like seriously he wouldn't stop.crying till I was found ,and immediately I was and brought back home that night ,he hugged me so tight , blaming himself for letting me go through such hard trainings. 

I chuckled that day ,and found him amusing,and later tried calming him down .

I stood up from my bed and immediately I was done getting dressed ,walked outside to receive a little bit of fresh air , I wanted so badly to forget about him , and luckily I was beginning to .

As I took in a deep breathe that early morning, my eyes caught hold of Jack at the other end . He waved at me and so did I by waving back . My great-grandmother being so busy all the time with matters concerning our people, I'll always be left with Jack and some other friends.

" You nervous? Cause I can see fear written all over your face "he asked me . I didn't want to tell him yes ,but I did and to make matters worse ,he began laughing.

" You still have four days left ,don't worry , you're gonna be fine "he comforted me after laughing which still got me a bit angry.

And just as we were about leaving the compound,I heard my mother call my name ,I turned around and waved at Jack " I'll see you later okay ,bye "And began running back into the house.

" Put on your garments and follow me Ara"my mother said and as instructed I did exactly what she said following behind her.

We got there ,and taking off our slippers we got in . She began tapping her foots slowly in her long garments, I too followed the rhythm ,and soon we were both dancing . " Feel the music Ara, it's in your heart ,you don't need to hear it ,just feel it and dance to please the crystal goddess". Like she said ,I decided to concentrate, focus and calm down ,it wasn't easy being all free from getting nervous at a time like this ,but Immediately I recalled my dream ,I became distracted and fell down immediately.

She sighned and looked at me " what's on you mind Arabella. I slowly walked towards her and sat beside her on a stone ."

" What happens when I get rejected again mother "I asked ,she gave me a surprising look but later calmed down ." I do hope it doesn't happen,I wish to be at peace,and as you can see , I'm only getting older and becoming weak ,you need to withhold some of these powers and lift some of my burdens Ara ,you're our family next hope ,do not fail us ".

Immediately I heard this ,I became so bold ,a boldness which is didn't even know where it came from and finally danced to my satisfaction till I got tired.

FOUR DAYS LATER , sitted close to.my mirror ,I was being dressed and getting ready for the ceremony. I couldn't even sleep or close my eyes for a bit ,the nervousness was almost gonna kill me last night ,and finally,the D- day is here . My great-grandmother walked in and tapped me on the shoulder and I smiled back at her " are you ready ? "She asked and I nodded.

I took her hands and together we both walked in to go pay our greetings to the crystal goddess before meeting the people..... My great-grandmother knelt down and said some words ,so did I . This time I almost had tears in my eyes , trying hard not to think about the dream which I had four days ago . 

After a while ,we both stood up and a young boy walked forward to get the crystal. Following behind us as we walked. " Now ,it's time "my great-grandmother said which made everyone silent,I stood still and surprisingly I could see 3years ago . Everything that happened there years ago , I could see . I staggered backwards in fear but she held me back. 

" Control your fear Ara"I heard her voice . I nodded and immediately she continued after assuring I was okay .

I knelt down in front ,while my mother walked towards the crystal and also knelt down beside it . After a while she stood up . As my great-grandmother stretched her hands forward waiting for a bright light to shine and locate me and my crown , surprisingly nothing happened again . She turned around to look deep into my eyes like I had something in them and then she uttered those words I didn't ever want to hear again.

" You have been rejected! "This words broke my heart into pieces , unable to bear it, bear the pains of being rejected twice , seriously what have I done wrong ? ,I feel down and passed out immediately, but what I heard last , were her cries.
