Sixty-ninth Chapter

Rain held his index finger to his lips, his eyes shone with nervousness tinted with sheer horror. My stomach rumbled like a pot of boiling water, but I nodded in response, agreeing to be quiet which went against every fibre in my body.

Nodding along with me, I watched him take a deep breath before putting the phone to his ear.

“Hi baby."

Even though I knew he was faking, it made my blood boil to hear him call her that name.

“Where I am? Oh uh, I stopped someplace close to home for lunch.”

Hearing him lie almost made my giggle. Just then, I got a bright idea. My lips grew like the Grinch on Christmas Eve. I flashed him a demonic grin, noticing his eyes widen just before leaning into his neck. He knew what I was thinking.

“You told my mom what?"

His slightly irritated voice came into my ears but it didn't stop me from repeatedly kissing the skin around his neck. I felt his hand in my hair, trying to make an attempt
